I'm no fan of Monday racing, especially the week before Cheltenham, but I like the look of Billy Cuckoo in the 2-30 at Southwell, and will chance a small stakes bet at 7-1. He was entered and withdrawn on Saturday presumably, going related, and I'd rather the going was good to soft rather than soft, good to soft in places, but I still think he will run close <ok>

    3.35 Southwell

    Bellorophon 8/1 e/w

I might be wrong but I think this one is going to have the handbrake taken off tomorrow and may be primed to run a huge race.

It's two runs since joining Dalgleish look terrible at face value but he's been up against really quite decent horses. LTO a Ferguson horse called Rainbow Peak won the race. He was rated 115 at his peak on the flat and will possibly run in the Coral Cup next week. Bellerophon was battered out of sight but I can't help but think Dalgleish knows what he's been doing by running him against horses of that ability. The race before has proven quite strong with multiple winners.

Dalgleish has now decided to take just this horse on a reasonably long journey from Scotland to Southwell for just this one runner at a track where he has a 42% strike rate this last 12 months. I know most wins come on the aw and not the nh course but I'm happy taking the chance. I might easily be wrong but 8/1 is too big to pass up.

How did they get away with naming the horse Two In The Pink who runs in Kempton tomorrow?

Agree with Bellorophon, Dalgleish/Renwick combo getting some home in past few weeks. Also looking at A P's only ride in the 4:35 Southwell. I'll stick Billy Cuckoo in for the patent. Will need to boost the coffers as a first time Cheltenham visitor on the Thursday and it looks a bit like a pin stickers day. Will be trawling this site for some potential pointers.

Very nicely bred unraced gelding in the 15.10 Kempton (Noel's Hope). Just wonder why it's a gelding though; was still entire as a yearling.

With all due respect mate that race is a nightmare! Hi Candy with a 10lb claimer, Maguire teaming up with Gollings and Dickie on one for his Mum and all that ignoring the obvious which is BARTON ROSE who was value for probably twenty lengths rather than six when opening the account recently! Leave alone!

For people like me, who has no idea about NBA, could you explain what that means Ian?

Afternoon, team. Only approximately a week to go then until the biggest sporting event of the year thus far. Yes that's right 'The Dancing On Ice Final'. I'm sure I speak for everyone on the forum when I say that I'm as excited as a military man who's just been introduced to minor Royalty at the prospect of the big event.

I got that bit Red (after Googling) but what is the bet? Couldn't find Boston Rose (yes I initially looked in the runners index and then the Non Runners today at Southwell). Is the bet some sort of treble?

OK, I'll bite. There's no Boston Rose in the 15:00 Southwell, in fact there hasn't been a horse of this name in UK or Ireland for many years. There is a Boston Blue Rose who last raced in May of 2013. As for your NBA trebles, which very gullible bookmakers did you fleece? Come on, you're gee-ing us all up?

There are only 19 entered in Saturday’s ‘Imperial Cup’! At this stage isn't it usually 3 times that number?!? Although if the media are to be believed Regal Encore has already won it and then followed up at Cheltenham.
