    How do you pronounce Derby?

    My old man and most of his mates used to pronounce derby as in the match against local rivals as DARBY but when talking about Derby County pronounced it DURBY!

    I pronounce both as DARBY, so how do you lot say it.

    We play the toon in a DARBY, i think. I lived in Derby and the locals called it "DARBEH"

    Aye me Da was from down south the result of pit yackkers and Houghton le Spring but spent hiw whole life in Sunderland. :p

    Darby for me too. It's the yanks that pronounce it Durby, isn't it?
