Just JH bigging himself up to an audience, the PFA and the FA both agreed after their legal experts had studied the supposed buy out clause that 40m was a minimum starting point for any offer and nothing more.

I think its fair to say there's no chance both the FA and PFA will admit they were wrong, and its also fair to say even if they did that Arsenal would not be his destination due to them slipping out of contention for a CL spot next season.<whistle>

"the PFA and the FA both agreed after their legal experts had studied the supposed buy out clause that 40m
was a minimum starting point for any offer and nothing more"

Thought the 40m was basically saying a club had to submit an offer of at least that in order
to actually be allowed to meet with Suarez and talk.
The club still decides the final acceptable offer, regardless of the player being open to the move.

So all the Goons could do is an "agreement in principle" on player personal terms.
They would still have to meet the selling club asking price.

Of course the Goons didn't have state-sponsored media muppetry (like La Marca) at their
disposal to try and work on Suarez all summer to the point of no return.

Dont waste you time arguing with uneducated Spur Fans.

They will drag you to their level and beat you at wumming.

  7. Oi, Gerry! What are you doing out of bed? Are you secretively using your iPad under the bedsheets? If your mum finds out, you'll be in for a leathering.

Best get yourself off to sleep. School in the morning, lad.

Just had a nice bowl of Scouse, just about to slip out of my shell suit and relax and watch some old video's of 'Bread' and 'Boys from the black stuff', before popping in my foam headphones and drifting off to some Cilla classics.

What you doing tonight HIAG lad?

You've been in a coma for at least 30 years.

There's some bad news waiting for you <yikes>

    Fair play.

Me, I'm relaxing with a bottle of port, my friend. Browsing YouTube, and watching a load of different stuff. It's a typical Sunday night for me.

What you on about? We're dominating division 1 and European football.

You see that Jimmy Case goal against Benfica last night? We should win the home leg and get through to the Semi's. European champions 2 years on the trot? We can dream now.

That's fair enough - I wouldn't want to burst your bubble.

But for decency's sake, ditch the 'tache and the perm <yikes>

Liverpool have lost £50m, apparently. Did they buy Carroll and Downing back or something?

If it costs 50m quid in losses to finish in the PL above a "small" club like Spurs
(even when you annually earn 70m Euros more in revenue) , so be it.

It's incredible that it's not plastered all over the front page of the Beeb as it is whenever Chelsea or City make a huge loss.

I know it's impossible but it'd be hilarious if Liverpool finished in the top 4 but got chucked out of the CL on FFP :D
