My point was that despite some of the crap written on here we are an extremely good team now and can only get better as the younger ones improve and given one extra player of class up front who knows what could be achieved , I actually got more hope for the future from yesterday's game although score line would say different , like I said if Liverpool are title contenders how far are we from that ourselves ?
that's just not true is it though. players who show talent can fall off the planet, stalwarts can get career ending injuries or simply become less effective as they get older. No doubt we can get better but it's not the only way we can go and the people in charge surely won't be complacent enough to think that way. (i will assume the inactivity in january was due to better options anticipated this summer and that we will not rest on our laurels again) unless we strengthen in goal, we're almost completely at the mercy of Boruc's fitness and form tbh.
Not ideal having the club in turmoil during the transfer window. MP was hopeful of a signing, but it must have fallen through. Hopefully he has been given promises for the summer.
We'd probably find ourselves in a tussle with the teams on 29/30 points at the moment, but certainly not relegation fodder. We don't have any one player so dynamic that we could not compete in their absence...and the lack of such a player is part of the reason why we're mid-table and not competing for Europe. Too bad that there aren't many such creatures, and they don't often end up in the hands of the non-elite, at least for too long.
John W Henry admits that Luis Suarez's buy-out clause was triggered, but Liverpool ignored it regardless. Why would you ever say that?
Is this an anti-semitic or islamaphobic comment? I'm bored. Season over. We were well turned over and now I'm surrounded by Reds fans telling me that they're gonna win the league (and apparently now I have to believe them)
