Some are trying to suggest this as a reason to sack him. <laugh>

Irony of ironies we've got Robbie Savage on BBC 606 saying he should get a 10 match stadium ban home/away, as well as not being allowed near the training ground or even speak to any players!

Looks like we could still nab Champions League if he gets his way... :D

Five bookmakers have suspended betting on Pardew to be the next manager to go after the price plummets...

Steve Bruce looks like the aftermath of some serious headbutting, for anyone who has been on the end of a real headbutt or been a witness to one will be very aware of the consequences, this was not a "Headbutt", Pardew was caught up in a moment and reacted badly, the media reaction is akin to the building of a pyre and chucking him up there to burn as if he is evil!!! Some people have made the link to this happening in the workplace, in no way can this be simplified as the pressure, strain and stress that accompanies the role of Premiership Management is not akin to any workplace, Pardew will be punished and I am sure this will be heavy because of the storm that is being whipped up, MOTD will no doubt get all pious about this, will wait and see which of the saintly pundits pronounces on this tonight.

Indeed. You'd think he'd actually connected with a full on nose breaker!

I ran a big bars operation down in London for a while and you would have a lot worse than this during the day let alone on the busy nights, I find it particulary ironic that Robbie Savage is so "Outraged", such a charming professional on the football pitch.

To be honest I'm glad he has waded it in, it helps highlight the ridiculous nature of the media reaction. On the flipside Joey has tweeted in defence of Pards. Not the best character witness <laugh>

    Hahaha

I'm sorry for caring about our representatives having SOME respectability and professionalism. The guy should be sacked. It's gross misconduct. Let's see if you can put up a reasonable argument for him not getting sacked.

However he could cum on Ashley's breakfast and not get sacked.

Not too bad if Robbie Savage is self-appointed Chief Prosecutor...

Its not gross misconduct. Its a footballing incident. Anyway why would we sack a genius who has took us to 8th in the league despite a chronic lack of resources. He's well on course for a statue or stand being named after him. I warned you all last season he would turn it round, he has big styleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

If you did that to a client, you'd be gone. Footballers get away with it because they are notoriously thick as pigshit. They get a ban and massive fine instead, intelligence, at least in traditional measurement, is not required... But of a manager and tactician? Who wants a thick as pigshit boss?

Or rather a passionate man who sometimes oversteps the mark. He is not the first and won't be the last. Football is not like the real world so it is pointless keep bringing up mine or your workplace. Otherwise there would be assault charges levelled every week. Ice Hockey and Rugby would have to basically be cancelled. And he is a master tactician, at least label him correctly if you intend to slander his good name. <laugh I seem to remember SAF attacking his own employee with a boot.

This is in NO WAY an excuse, but could explain his actions in part.

He let slip I think after the recent Spuds match that he'd had some bad news in his personal life. Perhaps he's having a tough time privately with something, combined with the awful year's start at NUFC.

There's definitely pressure around him and personal anger to react that way when the team are cruising 1-3...

Nah he is just like that. As he acknowledged, he regularly stands on touchline during games. He's had a few incidents as a result. He just needs to get less involved. Its not a massive deal unless you are in the media, a mackem or a big wet pussy i.e. JPF <laugh>
