As a football fan that kit is awesome, If my own club (AFC Keynsham) were to ofer this up we would be made up.

But as a Bristol City fan I would share your disappointment if the kit men came up with a blue and white kit for us.

Its very nice, but surly the decision makers know that this sort of thing is a little controversial. With the entire spectrum of colours available why do they always pick something daft.

It's a very nice shirt. There was a mock up made of it for a united shirt on our forum and it was amazing. I just don't see why they didn't replace the blue with red and make it sit well with the fans.

Odd that we didn't have a problem with black, despite it being part of Utd's first kit.

White is neutral so even if it's only blue trim it's still blue.
    No.
    Again.

So was Shanks wrong to change the club colours to red? I believe Utd were already playing in red at the time. Go on, badmouth Shanks, you primary-coloured bigot, you.

How dare you call me primary-coloured? I'll have you know I'm of a delightful tertiary persuasion consisting of 65% yellow, 38% magenta and a mere 10% cyan.
I'll go with the bigot bit though.

Also, your colourist calumny briefly blinded me to the inaccuracy of your comment. Liverpool have been red and white since the 19th century as far as I'm aware. The inviolable Shanks merely changed the strip to all red.
