There are reports that two Chelsea fans have been stabbed in Istanbul. I wonder how many times this will happen before UEFA act?

Utd should definitely go for AVB.

Hmm. I think taking over a club 'in crisis' might well suit AVB a lot. As far as I can tell he's got a lot of fancy new ideas which he can't sell to the established players who think they know better. It will be harder for the players to argue if they are in a bit of trouble and if he is actually right (and I think he is) the pay off could be very big.

I imagine that AVB's " fancy new ideas" will prove about as successful as his less than fancy old ideas!...

Nevertheless, I would be absolutely enthralled to see him given the chance to put them into action at O.T. That should ensure one less CL rival to worry about for the foreseeable future!...

United need to do something. Moyes looks totally out of his depth and doesn't look like he's got any ideas left.

Galatasaray's GK is horrible. He likes to run far off his line to not quite close down players to his left and right, leaving an open goal to diminish the odds on a very difficult shot. Chelsea's already got one from this strategy.

The Turks aren't that bad then after all.

Two Leeds fans were stabbed to death back in 2000 as well.

The English media neglected to mention it was the Leeds fans that started the ruckus, taunting and throwing glasses at Galatasaray fans from various bars, and one of the men stabbed was seen wiping his backside with the Turkish flag before it kicked off...

Doesn't mean he deserved to get stabbed.
