Looking at those photos from the leg-break incident it seems Stoke's Glen Whelan is a decent sort.
Both stupid.
Shawcross clearly didn't mean to hurt him but it was a big clumsy hack in fitting with the type of defender he is. You wouldn't see the likes of Chester doing that. Shawcross has made a career out of being a bit scrappy bastard so I think he should be able to take the stick when someone gets seriously hurt as a result of that style.
The Arsenal/Fabregas thing was even more ridiculous. How you could get wound up about being accused of spitting at someone is beyond me. Why would Horton have made that up?

Arsenal (both staff and fans) went way over the top when actually it was just an unfortunate outcome of a strong but fair tackle, no one likes to see somebody injured but it happens in football. I can see why Stoke fans resent them for it.
If Ramsey went out his way to goad the Stoke fans at The Emirates then he can't moan if he gets some stick at the The Britannia.

If I recall, Stoke fans booed him relentlessly from the moment his name was read out on his first return after he recovered from the leg break.
They only have themselves to blame.

Long story short some big skinhead bastard with his little 4 or 5 year old kid started giving it the big un, literally tried to hit me with his car then tried to ram our car when we went to pull out, after they'd beaten us and with absolutely no reason or provocation.
