    Need something to publish midweek. Last week one paper reported pardew was one game from the sack, another Houghton one game from the sack and, now Mel apparently 2 games.

    If football managers can be sacked for getting things wrong then some of these reporters should get the sack for consistently getting things wrong.

    Looks like their gaffer wants to play the Saints way, while not having the right players to carry it out? Sacking him would seem hasty and harsh, they should concentrate on staying up and then get the right players in the Summer window?
