Well Cardiff, Fulham and others are still making balls-ups and doing their best to keep us up, so let´s not disappoint them, and start on a winning spree with this one against a certain Mr. Tim Sherwood. Not going to be easy, but not impossible either, especially if we can turn in a performance like the Man City one. Come On You Yellows, go earn your spurs Into the trenches again, That´s how it must be from now until May Blood, sweat and tears till the end, Tackle for tackle and then pass for pass We must match them all the way, No sitting back just admiring the view Get stuck into every fray, It matters not whether top team or low Or whether on our turf or theirs, Ninety plus minutes of blood-curdling fight Is what´s needed to earn some cheers, And just the odd goal in three or in five To win, would be perfect I´d say, Or even just one in a one goal affair Would do much to make all our day. OTBC
I am hoping for .................................Ruddy Whittacker Bennet Yobo Olsson Redmond Tetty Fer Jonas Howson Hooper This would be my choice, the formation is a bit shot though
Evening 23 - any reason for choosing Whittaker over Martin, they seem pretty even to me, and despite his occasional lapse, I´d take Bassong over Bennett R any day, especially in our current situation.
Change can be as good as a rest, I grant you, but just wondered if you had any particular reason other than 1 win in 11 Personally can´t see that Whittaker for Martin or Bennett for Bassong would be a change for the better, but certainly wouldn´t mind Snoddy being given a slightly less prominent featuring role, and start with Redmond and Pilks, but maybe the wrong game to try it out.
If players play well but still end up not scoring or letting in goals try and use one or two of our other expensive players , it`s a squad game .
Got a feeling we are due a win against one of the big boys...but then again it could just be a bit of wind!
For what it's worth (precious little, imo) the author of this Mirror article assumes he knows the workings of the Norwich City boardroom like the back of his hand http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/footb...ris-hughton-lose-3172659#.UwnMn_SXBk4.twitter
I don't think it's likely, but it'd be massive if we could sneak at least a point, if not a win, today. Either this week or next we need to start getting the results to pull us away from the brink.
If you can put in a performance such as you did against Man City there's no reason why you won't get something from this match.
Is hooper injured?!? Norwich team v Tottenham: Ruddy; Martin, Yobo, Bassong (c), Olsson; Tettey, Johnson; Snodgrass, Fer, Redmond; van Wolfswinkel.
Ruddy; Martin, Yobo, Bassong (c), Olsson; Tettey, Johnson; Snodgrass, Fer, Redmond; van Wolfswinkel Subs:Bunn (GK), Whittaker, Howson, Hooper, Pilkington, Hoolahan, Elmander Hooper surprisingly drops to the bench, and Howson not ready to start it seems. Pleased to see Redmond included, although I'd have rather it was at the expense of Snodgrass not Pilks. Spurs: Lloris; Naughton, Dawson, Vertonghen, Rose; Capoue, Bentaleb, Paulinho; Lennon, Adebayor, Dembele. Subs: Friedel, Fryers, Chadli, Eriksen, Townsend, Kane, Soldado.
I really like the variety of options on the bench though. Hopefully Hughton will make the right decision!
This could be the day that RVW finds his shooting boots. If not maybe one of our subs can score for the first time this season. In other news: a pig just did a loop the loop above my back garden!
