Well, that was weird.
I was emailed a few weeks ago by The FA and my referee co-ordinator that there would be a survey sent around to ALL referees and coaches to fill in on standards and procedures in order to improve co-ordination and the system currently in operation.
Today, the survey lands in my inbox with a little email. I go to start the survey. I'm told it will take me approximately 20 minutes, again that's no issue and I click start. First Q: "Do you or any family members do any work in any of the following areas?" - One option was journalism. As someone who is paid for what I write, I obviously ticked this box and then prepared for the next part of the survey.
Except, the rest of the survey never happened. I received a message along the lines of...
"Thank you. Unfortunately you are not permitted to continue and answer the rest of the survey."
So because I do some freelance work here and there, I can't answer on or be part of the nationwide survey of refereeing standards within refereeing circles?
Totally crackers and I am now quite bemused.
