The one for me was a couple of years ago now, but the guy was equally a dickhead.

We were going from Southampton Central to London Waterloo, the day after a Saints game as we (Dad and I) had stayed down to visit people.

Anyway, it was the day Pompey were going to Wembley (I think, to play Spurs) and the train was packed. So my Dad told me to follow him into First Class and sit in there. Now, there's no issue with this, as he's from the British Rail era where they get free travel on all UK trains - which is extended to immediate family, so fine for me also. It doesn't affect where you sit, and the vast majority of the older inspectors just tip their hat and exchange pleasantries when you flash one of these passes. Anyway, during the journey he decided to nip to the toilet and told me to stay where we were until he got back.

Rather inevitably, during this time the inspector came and started asking if I had a first class ticket, and if it was pre-booked. As I said "no" and reached for my wallet to show him the staff pass that I get and am entitled to as a result of my father's work, he started becoming quite hostile and jumped up with me. I produced the pass and he didn't believe it was genuine or understand why a kid would have one of these old British Rail passes. Anyway, as he was about to turf me off, my Dad walked back in and showed him his own pass, which was marked 'Senior Management'. The guy couldn't apologise to my old man enough and shuffled off quicker than I'd ever seen anyone before. Like his arse was on fire. Served him right.

    :)

Decided to play a bit of FM12. Managing Bristol Rovers in League One in 2021. Just signed 29 year old Lorenzo Insigne. Not sure how.

British solo female or something? Just to clarify, I'm talking about Marling, not Robson.

Have two comedians ever died on their arses so much as Corden and Carr last night? Embarrassing.

James Corden is so, so overrated.

Glad Ellie won too, yay. I was fearing it might have been Jessie J.

Just watching curling from Sochi. What a tactical game. Men are playing off for silver/gold tomorrow. Women are playing for bronze now...GB have slight advantage, but blew a better position in the semi.

Well done GB. Guaranteed our best ever medal return at a winter Olympics. We have 3 now which equals the best and will get either gold or silver tomorrow in the Curling.
