The situation is that I now have 4 passes to a box and 2 tickets in the City end thanks to GCMackem who posted the link to the Gumtree thingy.

However, I have 3 adult sons, all in my avatar, and various mates I've travelled with, from the Mansfield area for nigh on 40 years.

I still have lots of possibilities of more tickets as do my sons and mates.

The neutral tickets, for people who are in the county football associations, referees assocs, etc don't arrive with them until the middle of this week.

I'm also waiting, and hoping, for tickets from the finance director at Villa who's a mate, Kris Commons who our lass used to babysit, Gerry Ryan who I know through work and played for Brighton in the FA Cup final against Man Utd, John Stirk who played for Ipswich and who's now a teacher in the NE, Wayne Entwistle who now lives back in his home town Bury etc etc etc etc

I'm even going to track down Ken Bates who always has his lunch at the Cafe de Paris in Monaco. I met the bloke a few times through work and I'm hoping to find him in a decent mood.
He stomps around the place like a grumpy owld bear with a hangover so the odds aren't great.

I have an old BBC606 lad trying his best to find me Sunderland section tickets.

So, I may end up with much less than we all need or many more. Until the dust settles I can't let go of the ones I have.

I have 6 different lads who've pm'd, off here, who I'd love to help but it's like juggling hedgehogs at the moment.

I don't want to be in this box, especially as it's owned by an Alan Sugar company, but I don't want to be listening outside when the teams hit the pitch.

All I can do is keep battling away and hopefully be responsible for getting a dozen more Sunderland people in to cheer on the Lads, I'd be very proud to do that.

Mr RAW, 'knows me' through these pages and hopefully knows the kind of bloke I am and the kind of mates I have.

Even though I'm 'in the ground' I'll fight just as hard to find tickets for other decent people.

So apologies to those who are waiting for me to help them but this is ****ing hard work and I'm doing my best.

instead of all this betting ,solicitors, and bans stuff ,why dont you just laugh and ignore it ,because this really is becoming a weekly pattern on here and its all very predictable im afraid, just do your thing and get on with it, good luck

Stu, I started a harmless thread asking for people to give a little advice on a very serious and touchy suject.

This total ****er specifically came on to call me a liar. The pattern is that other people seem to want to come on with the sole intention of calling me out.

That's the pattern mate and something I have no control of. Tell you what, if you and another dozen Sunderland people ask me to leave the board, I'll just stop posting, how's that?

I have to ask you a serious question, why are you addressing this message to me and not the poster who came on to disrupt a thread and cause trouble?

    Seriously, why is that Stu?

I know mate and, as I've said, I'll do everything possible.

It's just a balancing act until the dust settles but I have everyone's numbers and will do everything I can to help everyone.

The reason for the OP, to be honest, is that I need to know if these passes can be used more than once, on the same day, to 'buzz' people in.

(Perhaps the systems are so sophisticated that they 'kill' the entrance facility once they've been used for a particular event.)

If it's possible to leave the ground and 'buzz' yersel back in then there's a chance there to get 8 people in on 4 passes.

After that the 4 'stowaways' would have to use their wits to either find half empty boxes with friendly Sunderland people who'll take them in or perhaps drift off into the neutral sections and find a seat somewhere.

All avenues have to be explored and anyone who wants to take a chance on that can just buy me a pint after the match <ok>

If this is the case marra, then I hope you believe me when I tell you that Smug is definitely being honest in what he is saying. I know two lads, one of whom is a long time poster on here, and one who used to post on BBC606 but packed this site in, who have met him in person (one of them at his home in the south of France), and both cannot speak more highly of him.
I also realise that Smug can be very confrontational; but that in my opinion is just his nature, which some may see as a weakness, but is probably down to him having to fight for everything he has earned in life. I'm sure he will put me right if he believes I'm wrong, but this is the conclusions that I have come to after many years of sharing both this and the BBC version..

Thank you for that mate, it's nice to see there are some people who can read between the lines as opposed to some of the patronising superficial specimens who lurk around on here.

I don't actually know you but I'm sure I'd he happy to allow you to buy me a pint <laugh>

I don't have an enemy in real life but my true character obviously doesn't come across on these boards, probably time to do a 'Tony' and stop posting tbh.

The likes of Cyprus would be clouted if they called me a liar, in front of people, in real life. Sadly, on here, they can puff their chests out and act the big man with no comebacks.

Can I just say Smug - well done for the explanations etc but you really don't need to as the people on here who know you (I class myself in that category) know the type of fan you are and type of person you are.

The fact is that every now and again you see emotions taking over rational thought which inevitably leads to confrontations. This thread is a cracking example where you see two long time and well respected posters on here having a go at each other. It certainly isn't the first one and will not be the last...Life goes on eh...
PS..I hope nobody is serious about giving up on this site because of spats such as this..

Well all I know about Smug is what I read on here.
Might not agree with everything he posts - football forum, kind of expected - but anyone willing to go to such lengths to help out fellow supporters should be applauded not villified.

    Cheers.

When we were in the 3rd division we were playing at Bury and the Sunderland end was all ticket.
Me and a Nottingham mate got two and he called me as soon as they arrived.
They were black writing on white paper!!!!!!!!

I took them to a printer mate and he sourced the correct grade and texture of paper.

We printed off 50 of them and gave them away, to Sunderland lads, when we got to Bury.

When the five of us got to the turnstiles with two originals one of our lot panicked so I gave him my original and went in with a duffer.

I'm not as bad as I come across on here mate ...... some of the stuff might sound far fetched but my whole ****ing life has been far fetched <laugh>

    Not easy mate.

I put mesel up as a panto character, or a punchbag, on here as I've done in real life for 40 years, take the piss out of mesel and invite others to do the same.

It keeps people's spirits up when things aren't so good, or so I thought. Mebbe's my mates are more open for a laugh and a bit of harmless piss taking, what the **** do I know?

Surely that's better than brain dead ****ers coming on here with some ****e agenda and contributing nowt.

BUT, people just ****ing love dishing it out don't they?

Then, as soon as you snap back, they get out their hankies and start ****ing sniveling.

If folk really want the likes of Cyprus, who makes every excuse known to man for not going in 10 years, pontificating and pulling down people who do go then **** it.
