Aren't you a hungry fish? You little so and so, you.
Oh dear, the tried and trusted " I was fishing " defence is trotted out;
What a tedious cockchaffer you are.

Much call for hairdressers during a flood?![]()
People's hair doesn't stop growing in times of rain.
Are you bald, ST?
Two sentences, I'm proud. Not my fault, you're falling for into such cliche.
No, want to keep the pound as it's ours as much as it is yours.
No, it's ****in not you ****in half-wit.

Stick to discussions about biscuits and favourite kinds of beverages and leave the grown up talk to those of us with more than two marbles rattling about inside our skulls![]()

Me bald? Hardly! Although I did get it cut last week as the burd was complaining that it was getting as long as hers.

In 1707 the separate kingdoms of scotland and england were joined together to form the united kingdom via the treaty of union, within this treaty the currency of both nations became the pound sterling. It belongs to neither one nor the other.
Exactly. So break up the union and you break up the currency. You can call it what you ****ing want afterwards.
So there is nothing to stop us calling our new currency "The Pound" or "Sterling". Plenty of countries have Dollars after all.
Nothing at all, you can call it what you want. You can put the queen's head on it, or Sean Connery's if you ****ing want. That misses the point completely.
The issue is not the currency. The issue is the currency union. Recent events in the Eurozone illustrate how difficult it is to have a currency union without political union. So the sterling you use north of the border will not neccessarily have parity with the pound we use south of it.
