See, this is how you expose your nationalism as a that of a typically duplicitous politician. Because you are informed enough to know that the currency is not the issue; the currency union is. Where the SNP are deliberately trying to mislead people is in claiming that they can dictate the terms of Scotland's relationship with England and Wales, and also with Europe.

Whilst it's true that Westminster politicians could probably best help the pro UK cause by keeping their ****ing traps shut, should they stay quiet when the SNP stray into the realms of blatant nonsense? To re-iterate; you can't insist on a currency union - or any other kind of union - if the other parties to that union don't agree to it.

And incidentally, why are all senior SNP politicians named after fish?

Your personal visage has the appearance, simultaneously, of both an anus and a pie.

Do you honestly believe that in the event of a Yes vote the Westminster parties aren't going to sit down and do a deal?

It's scaremongering. We've heard it all before. We had it from the Tories in the run up to the Devolution referendum of 1997, saying bollocks about how they wouldn't work with a Scottish Government etc. Now they more MSPs than they do Scottish MPs.

No currency union means no debt for us and a ****load of debt for you. Trust me, there will be a deal.

    I got that bit.

Was it not meant to be, you look like Salmond, an anal pie face?

So are you saying, your beloved leader Salmond also looks like an anal pie face? He'd have you stoned to death for that.

You do have to wonder who is and isn't telling the truth - i suspect there's an element of bluster on both sides and also people not knowing what is and isn't actually legally possible. On the one hand, for example, we have Salmond saying that Scotland don't have to apply to join the EU because they'll get automatic entry whilst the Government says the opposite. You then get conflicting noises from different experts on all Brussels related issues. Ah well - if they do say yes it will be interesting to see how it all unfolds I suppose......

That should read "Was it not meant to be; you look like Salmond, an anal pie face?"

Don't try your sophistry with me. I've squirted doses of the Leons into the toilet bowl with more presence of character than you.

Of course there'll be a deal, there always is. But no one knows how it'll play out, so Salmond is wrong to pretend a currency union is inevitable on his terms, just as he was wrong to pretend that continuing EU membership is inevitable on his terms. He can cite these things as aspirations, but it seems to me he's trying to mug you all off by claiming them as done deals.

It would be a giggle though. The separation talks will be horrendous - neither side's going to be entirely happy with the outcome and they'll both moan about it for the next 300 years or so - it's important to keep some traditions

I hope I don't see a fund raising programme for the poverty in Scotland. Comic Relief and Red Nose Day are enough already.
