Not us (just yet) but possibly Standard Liege.

In honesty, I don't think this will have much of an impact on us. Obviously he wont be able to pad our squad out with Liege loans, so we would see his real intent with regards to whether he is ambitious/excited enough to help us reach the Premiership as he would have to invest. But again, I don't forsee us getting a bit of that 50million pie.

He brought it for 30 million euro and now he is doubling his money with them ten points clear at the top of the league. Champions league football next year, maybe he does know what he is doing.

Does Duchatelet selling Liege mean that he gets to spend more time fulfilling what appears to be his No.1 aim - turning our dressing room into something that resembles the waiting room at Lunar House ?

Just seen the interview he did with Murray on youtube now and he seems like he knows what he's doing. If he sells Standard too will be a lot more positive than I am right now about the take over

I wonder how much he'll give away? I imagine he's quite good at fending off questions about the manager, and contracts, and investment, the things we actually want to know. I remain quite optimistic that in the long term he'll get us back on track. I know it's not everyone's view, but time will tell. I'd like to know about his scouting network, because we might be quite reliant on it. Wnenever his press conference is, I expect we're going to have to read carefully between the lines.

Maybe he'll send all the better Standard Liege players over to us for peanuts (i.e. Michy Batshuayi who has been wanted by Everton and Arsenal)

i think him selling up is a good thing. this is what he does, he buys a club, transforms them, and then sells them on for profit. it's how he makes his money.

if we're next, it'll be good. all the profit from liege will come our way, hopefully put us in the prem and then he'll flog us too after taking one or two years tv money.

I liked this Guardian article so much I'm tempted to buy myself a new cardigan to celebrate the fact that we appear to have an owner who is determined to bring success through the Academy, with a manager who knows how to do it. I also filled in the online questionnaire about how to improve the matchday experience, and suggested they supply proper bovril, not the powder imitation.

Up till now all I see is that we have an owner who is determined to bring success on the cheap, nothing new there, we've always had that... Only new thing about is we get dibs at the pool of players from the franchise...

Will the experiment work..?

I hope so, well we all do. Time will tell, but I'm hoping that by the time next season starts the club will have a sense of positive direction and sustainable achievement, which we haven't had since Curbs.
