yes I wanted strachan out The football he played after year 1 was horrific. He too had no plan b. 442 with the wingers playing on their weaker side to cut in And Dion Dublin and the Telf Nuff said
Strachan was like some auld **** suffering fae dementia by the third season. "Quick, sign another midfielder" "But we're already got 15 on the books!" "Well, sign Willo Flood anyway"
I'm a Catholic Celtic supporter with an extremely Taigy name. I've encountered no bigotry because of this. No issues attending a top university, no holding back in my career. The issue is a Central Belt one, more specifically a Glasgow/West Coast problem. I'm not saying that bigotry and sectarianism doesn't happen elsewhere is Scotland but nowhere else is it ingrained in the fabric of the city like it is in Glasgow.
1. No it's not. 2. Again this is selective reasoning. What do Strachan and Neil Lennon have in common here? Rid hair and had the same job. That's it.
Gloryhunters wanted both of them out while they were still successful. If you can't see that calling for Lennon to go is premature in the same manner as wanting Strachan out cut off our nose to spite our face then **** knows where you see correlation between individuals.
I don't hate Strachan or Lennon. I do believe with the resources they have/had we should play/have played a better quality of football. They both seemed to manage it for one season then resort to turgid ****e.
He has to build a new team every 18 months. I realise in a support our size you will get differing opinions, I just think some of the things said about our manager are below the belt. "**** Lennon, he's a ****" unfuckingbelievable!
Get a grip Bib. I never wanted Strachan out, never once said that. Basically you're taking one situation which is over 5 years ago now and comparing it to the current one. It's not evidence at all just a comparison. Lennon has had one decent run in the Champions League in a season with no title challenge. That's it. There are no more glories to wheedle out of his 4 years in charge. His team is mince to watch, the creativity isn't there and hasn't been there. Even the CL run was based on stolid defending and pumping it up to Sammy. Hun tactics basically.
The creativity hasn't been there for years. Nakamura was the last really creative player we had and even then there were tons of people who said he went missing in big games . This is not imo a Lennon problem, it's a "who the **** that's semi-decent wants to play more than a year in the pisspoor SP(F)L when I could treble my money at Stoke" problem.
Aye but the people who thought Naka was ****e were the type of ****s who think a good player kicks people and runs about like a Downy chasing a tennis ball. I'm not laying all the issues at Lennon's feet either. But fact is the buck stops with him when it comes to the product on the pitch. If he felt/feels he's had short-shrift from the board then he should speak out. He's part of the problem it's as simple as that and I can't comment on how to fix things at board level but I can certainly make comment on the football product; which simply is not good enough.
The manager can't actually build a team before it is torn apart and he has to start again....we better get used to this. Would the best managers in world football not struggle with that? In fact, they wouldn't stay under those circumstances.
Wow the natives are revolting. If Lennon had the balls he was born with he would have done the honourable thing and walked.
I actually believe playing Forrest constantly is one of the mistakes I mentioned earlier. like I said, he is not immune from bad decisions, but he is a successful tic manager and will get my support until somecunt says different.
