I know the circumstances are different now. So ****ing what? Does that mean we should miraculously become unbeatable in cup competition? If Martin O'Neill's team can be beaten by lower league teams in cup competition then surely to **** Neil Lennon's team can too, irrespective of whether Rangers (or anyone else for that matter) are offering a challenge in the league? Fact is, last season, people were moaning like **** about the poor league form. We had our lowest points tally in years (79 ffs, less than Mowbray's team). This year we've decided league form doen't matter and that the cup is what counts. People like to moan ...
No, it means we should go out there and put some ****ing effort in and play players who actually want to play for the club instead of ****s like Samaras.
MON never had the option to field a experimental side in the League as he had to keep wining every game ... to ensure he won the league.
I don't think competition matters Nobody watching bull fighting ever expected the bull to win What they expected was a performance and I think our fans are the same Games have been mostly boring, there are no stars in the team, its expensive, police are bothering supporters and we keep getting our own tales of warchests only to end up with Lee Griffiths
I never understood how Samaras managed to stay at Celtic so long. Hes pretty ****e. To be fair, he has some good games, but for the most part hes pretty inconsistent. Charlie Adam has good games too but hes still a fat useless scumdonian ****.
This is true Can i say again - im not saying sack Lennon. Far from it. However we can moan about him. He needs to learn to freshen it up. At times he sets the team up well but has little plan b He signed a lot of players for a lot of money and wont play them He wont give youth a chance, when we have an amazing opportunity to allow them time to develop Look at Irvine, Rogic, MacGregor & Watt - all starring for their loan teams at the minute. Come the summer how many of them will be given a chance? Instead the next Mo Bangura will block their path and waste even more money
He should have thought lets see what Boerigter can do or throw on Griffiths or Balde from the start and play Commons on the wing - but no - lets play Samaras who by Lennons own admission will **** off in the summer and hasnt shown any interest in playing since about August
So, who does want him sacked, then? Presumably, they would also hold the same position had we beaten the Rowie-molesters and aren't making a knee-jerk reaction - meaning they would sack a manager on his way to a potential double. It's one way or the other - either you would sack a manager on his way to a double or you're wanting him sacked on the back of one cup game.
I think a lot of people are saying, if he continues as is ... he should eb sacked.be replaced. If he cant see it's time for a change and to start looking at the fringe players/mix it up a bit then he's blinkered n pig headed.
Time to decide who has to leave at end of season ... get them in the reserves. Mix up the team, play spme of the fringe/next gen players and see if we can unearth a player from within.
I appreciate as manager he will see players training and consider if they are ready/deserving of a start or not. But they cant all be that bad. If they are so bad they cant even be tried (I'm looking at Balde who we scouted for 2 ****ing years) then someone needs to have a word with whoever said he is worth whatever we paid for him
For me, the only certain starters we should have are: Foster Matthews/Fisher VVD ? ? Broon Johansen Commons ? ? ? That leaves 5 places up for grabs for the rest of the season. Plus mix the bench.
Also you can take VVD and Lurch out of that. No ****ing chance will either of them be at Celtic next September.
Also one other little rant I appreciate a few players left in the summer, BUT Lennon has been in charge for what 4 years now? He should have a team in place whereby he need only buy a player who is ready to step into the team - maybe pushing the player he replaces into the reserves as cover. Instead we seem to be spending £1m+ on 6 or 7 players every year (summer and winter windows) and they only end up as reserves (VVD is the exception to the rule) We shouldnt have to buy 6 or 7 players every year. We should be buying 1 or 2 who are at least ready to play. They may cost a bit more - but wont cost much more (if any) than 5 at £1m who we pay off and replace with another £1m useless ****. There aint no way there is not a kid at Lennoxtown who cant contribute as much as Boerigter and Balde. Would have saved £5m+
