So you're called Kingston then? You named your football team after a river which you claim to be a city? You've got to admit it's pretty backwards. Stoke is called Stoke City not Trent City Your present name isn't really worth keeping is it? As it makes no sense.
As I've already pointed out 'Hull' is neither a town nor a city, it's a waterway ............ it's actually the end of a series of drainage ditches including the Beverley drain and the Leven drain. It is actually West Beck and doesn't become known as the Hull until it accepts water from the various drainage ditches and sewage outlets. I already know the full name of the city, Kingston upon Hull, which makes you wonder why the club is named after a little river rather than the city. You've no idea if there will be a new owner or what he'd do, he could be worse than this one.
I've always had a begrudging respect for Sunderland...I think hey're as close to knowing what we fans go through. One club city, 30k+ week in week out, mediocrity at best in the league and no trophy to speak of for decades. It's a strange relationship that we have with each other I think. Still want you to lose every game mind.
I actually want you to win a few of yours, particularly at Hull. I posted a thread saying we needed you to qualify for Europe but I reckon we ****ed that up last week
Us finishing in Europe was never on the cards, Ashley wouldn't have wanted it. Champions League or premier league survival, the only things on his wish list. Can't see us doing you too many favours to be honest mate, our season's over, you saw how we rolled over last weekend.
The name Kingston was dropped years ago by Hull folk. The only time I have seen it used is by Kingston Upon Hull City Council. I had no say in the dropping of the Kingston. From being born, I have only known my home City as being known as Hull. If our owners back in 1904 had called us Kingston City AFC then I would stand by that name. The name does make sense.
It's not your choice to drop it, you have absolutely no say in the matter and it certainly has not been dropped. It's known locally as 'Ull because the locals are too lazy to call it by it's proper name or pronounce the H. The way it's said sounds more like a grunt than the name of a city. It's name is officially Kingston upon Hull and not simply used by the council. It was given that name over 700 years ago by royal command, it comes from 'Kings Town', and has never changed. To be fair, it was originally called Wyke ........... something you get on quite often. Once again you've proved you're clueless, even regarding your own city
I'll let you know after the cup final dumbledick. I'll also let you know what a cup final felt like you odorous pile of rancid excrement.
Hull is a drainage estuary. The city is named Kingston and it sits on said estuary. What you're saying is like saying "Tyne is a City" as Newcastle's full name is "Newcastle-upon-Tyne" when, in fact, it's called Newcastle. Ergo, you are Kingston NOT Hull.
FFS man, he's so thick he'll think Ergo is your nickname for him In fact ............ that's quite a good idea, 'Ergo the potato head', sounds like a character in a children's story book
"Hull" is merely a nickname. Kingston upon Hull (or simply just Kingston) is what it should be called. There is a Kingston upon Thames in London which funnily enough is never called "Thames" . It is called Kingston though!
Have a look at Alice in Wonderland or more specifically Alice Through the Looking Glass. But thank you for your uninformed concern.
Why would I do that, I've no need to look ...... the two characters are Tweedle Dum & Tweedle Dee, there's no reference to 'Dumber' and never was. The names are older than Alice in any case .......... Lewis Carroll nicked the names and applied them to the twins, neither of which were described as dumb, just argumentative. You were saying summat about 'uninformed' You're wrong, sorry but that's the way it is.
Yeah, you have to add a 'b' to 'dumer' to make it correct, as in 'dumber'. I deliberately used a b and not B ............
"he hasn't played since" You need to check your facts!! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24921761 You have the brilliant Vito now. One of PDCs better signings?
