Fair enough, I wanted to come to talk about football and I finally got that. It's a shame again that a game between the two best sides in the north east of the country (I will say we are for the sake of this post) has been ruined by a red card. I honestly had us down to lose prior to kick off especially seeing how we went back to 3-5-2 and with Johnson in the form of his life. Wasn't much for a football spectacle but as Hull fan I can't be disappointed how we saw the game out. Even with 10 men I think you showed enough to give us enough to think about and you should be fine this season

The Mainbrace is now a block of flats and Bali Hai is a Laser Quest.

What about the Hayworth Arms?

The Cross Keys?

I was replying to Smug. I was defensive of Bruce for what he has done for Hull.
I was not being defensive over what he did at your lot.

It's certainly a thrilling season. I expect us to slip back into the bottom three in the coming weeks but expected us to be in and out of it till the end of the season anyway but I think we'll stay up, a view that's never changed. I think you've got the goals in Long to stay up but don't rate Jelavić so i'd play Brady with Long if you insist on playing two up top. Who to get relegated? Who knows? It's a 10 team relegation battle so expect the bottom three to change a lot yet though I think it's curtains for Cardiff.

I've said Cardiff, Fulham and either one of Norwich of WBA. I like Jelavic personally but everyone has their opinion. In all interest how's Altidore fairing for you lot, had bags of potential here and I do keep an eye out but it's hard half of the time due to poor editing from MOTD and Sky

If you couldn't tell by me using the term Hull City I was speaking about Hull fans collectively and yes, Hull fans have collectively been on here constantly getting defensive and offended on behalf of Bruce for our views on his time at the club.

He's no goal scorer mate. But he's an absolute handful. He slots into our system very very nicely as we're set up for the goals to come from everywhere. He helps us play further up the pitch as a unit. Just my opinion him though, Lot of lads on here hate him and have abused him on these boards. Think it's out of order myself as he's no villain.

I liked Altidore here. Imo if he could find the goal more he'd be a top 6 striker easily

If Gus can turn him into a 10 goal a season player that will do for me. Fans will hound him out if he doesn't hit double figures next season.

Both decent boozers and has been stated both still open.

Hayworth is full of students but the bar is still predominately local old f**kers. Bit like the old gadge from Early Doors.

See above( also) for Cross Keys clientele.

Enjoyed my visit to your place yesterday.

Met some decent folk and was obviously thrilled to get three points.

I would say good luck for the rest of the season but to be honest I couldn't give a flying f**k.

No offence but why would I?

You'll need to keep your 'good luck' for Hull.

If Sunderland had won none of us would've been stupid enough to believe we were safe.

For some reason the Hull posters seem to believe that Hull are safe <doh>

Look at your fixture list and be afraid ............ you're 4 points off a relegation place and Bruce will **** it up.

Some people do get carried away but not I.

Oh no, too long in the tooth for that.

A couple of defeats on the bounce and we'll be in the mire, a couple of wins on the bounce and we'll be nearly home and dry.

It's all very exciting isn't it?

How many points do you reckon will be needed to avoid the drop then?

I reckon 35 will be enough.

I wouldn't swap your run in for ours so it surprises me that so many Hull think that's it and they're safe.

There are still more than 30 'six-pointer' relegation matches and most of Hull's are away where their form is poor.
Cardiff, West Ham, Stoke, Fulham and Villa are all away and all 'six pointers'.

As there are so many matches, where the bottom clubs play each other, draws could really affect the 'safe' points tally.

I believe it will be 37 points and Fulham & Norwich bothe showed that they're not lying down.

The key game for both Hull & Sunderland is the 3rd from the end.

Hull are away at Fulham and Sunderland at home to Cardiff. If both of those clubs are still in the fight it could be '**** or bust' for all 4.

to be honest our away form has been poor due to the opposition we have played. Losses against Palace and Norwich were unfortunate but we did play the top ten (bar Man Utd) away in the first half of the season. Both of our respective run ins are difficult, however, the hardest one is definitely Norwich's

Yes. The opposition do normally have a say in the results of games.....
