And? Laudrup bought a team but didn't utilise it, that if anything is a shocking indication of what he became.

How do you see this as being a victory for Laudrup when an inexperienced manager used Laudrups bought players to their very best potential of a week long new training regime.

Think about what you are saying.

Think about what you are saying. Monk has been in charge for 4 days.

Some don't even give Laudrup credit for winning the cup after six months in charge and with a team full of players he brought in.

We beat probably the worst team in the league - let's not get carried away. We were poor first half. It was just like our performance v Fulham two weeks back. Only against probably an even worse team.

Interesting seeing as I heard that Rangel had been suffering from an ankle problem (i think it was an ankle problem??). Also interesting that when we got told Rangel was fit, he was chosen, only to get dropped again, through another niggle. Rangel was always his preferred right back, so find that comment clutching at straws.

I take it you are not too clued up in how confidence, or lack of actually affects the outcome of situations, if you did, you would not have made such a silly comment

Sunderland parked the bus agianst us,
West Ham at home parked the bus,
Hull parked the bus

or have you already forgot these games already?

Other than those, did you see our home fixtures. Man Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal, Stoke, Newcastle, Everton, Man City, Spurs

So you were saying? Who else was there that would park the bus, thats right, as I have pointed out on other threads, we, SWANSEA CITY, have the easiest run in on paper of any team in the premier league.

Yes it was one low point, it was a terrible game, so was the game against West Ham, but how about the win v Valencia, or the draw against Villa, which we outplayed them and could and should have won, or how about outplaying Man City on our place, only to get done by sheer class? Or do you only remember games that suit.

The players were able to try thanks to how Cardiff played, same as we tried against Man City, which result apart, was a better game from our lads.

Well then, I guess I will be the only one then ;)

You forgot about being robbed v Sunderland and how we came back in that game. Many good games under ML, more than poor ones IMO.

It was a terrific result today, just what we needed. Tan & Ole - that`s another fine mess!!!

Our next test & more important game is on Wednesday, if we can win that then we`re going to be on a roll.... .......hopefully.

Well done to Gar and the team.

We also got robbed agiant Stoke with that awful penalty call, and the non penalty we didn;t get against West Ham for the handball by Joe Cole.

But most don't remember that. We will have to remember for them Jack.

I am happy for Monk, but cannot stand the whole, we are a better team already, as has been pointed out, its been 4 ****ing days. Other than Williams looking a bit more up for it, the rest played like they have all season.

No it wasn't. Laudrup had only signed 3 of the starting 11 <whistle>

Chico
Bony
JDG

Gave chances to both Routs and Davies, so they are part of Laudrups team too.

So 5/11 was ML's

And the game changer in Pablo is also ML's player. After all he did get 2 assists and played a big part in the 2nd too. So on that logic..... ML won the game ;) lol

Project your on the money mate, swanselona is still grieving his dearly departed, you'll need to give him time to get his head straight!............<cheers>

I prefer to think that there is no way in hell that 4 days has made that much of a difference, I prefer to think the fact we had pretty much a full squad had more bearing on the result. And was expecting the board fan boys to come out with "this wouldn't have happened with ML in charge" **** that due to come up.

I knew you'd bite Monty. Wasn't expecting swanselona too <laugh>

Well I don't like how people are forgetting what ML did for us, and using this result as a way to belittle what he did for us to make out the this was all the right thing to do.

I stuck up for Sousa when people belittled his achievements and what he did for us as a team, and I will do the same for ML.

I must admit I havent seen Ash so focused and motivated in a long while

Yup.

Such a relief today as well not have to fathom out why Leon was on the bench or Bony wasn't starting.

Liked ML and sorry to see him go but got the feeling sometimes that he was too cautious or trying to be too clever.

Laudrup gave us an Europa tie against Napoli and our first major piece of silver wear. That should never be forgotten <ok>

I don't think anyone is (well apart from one).

The ones who should hang their heads in shame are the ones who have been belittling Huw and our board.

Some nasty, petty things have been said about the very board that has progressed us beyond our wildest dreams.

Looks like they may have got a very difficult decision right again.

Really? you need to lie down mate, the difference was glaringly obvious, more pace using the touchline, not coming inside all the time, and playing the right players, lets hope the Ghost of Laudrup past has been fully extinguished today, onwards and upwards!...<cheers>

Agree, though we could start handling things with more class, and less of the lower league mentality!...................<ok>

So how many times did Routs use the touchline? How many times did he beat his man? Oh wait, thats right, he played the same way he did under ML, Dyer had a great game, as he has been good recently, but no difference to recent games where he stuck to using the wing, but like most of the season, he tries to trick his way past his man, than use his pace, so again no actual change. So I really fail to understand where your coming from.

The huge difference was Cardiff played the wrong game plan and it allowed the game to fall into our hands with how wide open the game was. I honestly cannot fathom how you guys cannot see that. And seem to think we have all of a sudden gone back to being this awesome team again.

Just wait til a team comes back to park the bus, see how much we have changed then. Lets see who will be able to say I told you so, because if the game was as tight as some of games this season, we would have not created anything.

Playing the right players, easy to do when you have a full team to actually choose from, the only poor choice of late, that people actually talk about is Amat playing against West Ham instead of Britton, other than that, what other poor choices are there?

Perhaps you're right.

But I'll always give the board the benefit of the doubt as it must be a hell of learning curve.

Should have allowed Laudrup to say goodbye to the players.
