A brilliant and welcome point. It was important that we stopped the run of defeats and it sounds like Jelavic and Long were working together well. It is incredibly tight in that bottom half of the table but hopefully this point is a huge confidence booster going into the next 3 games this month.
Great performance but I would like to see them cut out the reckless challenges when the attacker is going nowhere.Meyler,McShane and even Boyd made challenges that could have proved more costly.(one of meyler's did and he was lucky to stay on the park)
Should have won that. Tottenham same as Palace, didn't create a chance all game and still managed to score from a ****ty deflection falling perfectly for them. Our luck is well out at the moment. Someone should have stuck Huddlestone's free kick in the net but the strikers looked good and their defence were struggling every time we cleared it. Long has presumably been shagging that lino's missus because he got **** all. Every time he got the ball it was a foul. He did really well despite that handicap.
PLT, can't agree about them not having a chance, in the first half alone they had 3 excellent chances which a team like spurs really should have buried every one of them. Could have won but a point is a fair reflection of the game.
The FA need to conduct a stewards enquiry over the reffing of that game. He was absolutely f**king useless, clueless and fell for every limp wristed trick in the book. The dive by Lennon in the top North/East corner was like something from Swan Lake. Every time one of their prima-donnas fell over he gave a few kick. The less fashioned clubs have GOT to get onto the FA to create a level playing field. I don't really want to say it but I suspect that some of these refs are taking back handers.. Sue me if you like, then prove I am wrong?
