That's scarily familiar G. Its why I'll never make Senior Management. I keep calling bull when I hear it. I can't help it.

I just can't help remembering its public money I'm spending.

An example. 5 local authorities all pay for VT conference calls tech to be installed. Yet we still meet physically for meetings. Why? Taxpayer lunch and travel subsistence above rate of petrol. Sounds small per individual but you're paying me by the hour not to be at my actual job then paying me to eat. I could do same meeting in one hour from a room just down from my office.

Multiply that over the organization, over a year... Millions.

And we still don't make a decision......

And that's one of the main reasons the court for sport arbitration is based in Switzerland and not eastern Europe.<laugh>

A reference to CAS would depend upon the registration system in force in Ukraine. After all the contract between the club and the player is registered with the Ukrainian FA. Therefore the law that applies would also be Ukrainian.

But the Ukrainian FA are under the jurisdiction of Uefa who are part of FIFA.<ok>

It does annoy me if I'm honest. Most public workers don't have their heart in their jobs and are often hanging about and stealing time whenever they can. I know I spend time on here but as I've said before, I get my work done and volunteer personal time to the cause too so it all works out in the end.

When I'm spending money at work, whether it be public or raised funds, I spend it like its my own; before committing to anything I ask myself "if this was my money, would I spend it on this?". Very simple but effective <ok>

PS...I've been treated to a public meal a few times whilst having a meeting lunch. May as well get some of my money back :)

Even more depressing, most of the public workers that have come in under me (a public worker lol) have been keen, bright eyed and bushy tailed. Then they get their ideas stolen or worse supressed because efficiency doesn't suit a manager (or union) with 30 staff if the ideas result in only needing 15 staff slightly higher paid. Hard work and innovation is sucked out of them. Very sad.

I keep chirpy with the idea that my main job is to now do the best for my staff under whatever circumstances. Bonus if someone actually listens to me about anything else. (Violins lol)

But hey, where I grew up, and looking at the jobs or lack of them a lot of my mates do I've got it cushy. I earned it by working at my education and I'll not apologize for that but it doesn't make it less of cushy number for me the average bloke lol.
