  5. I should point out that we come under a county and district council and I'm only talking about one of them <ok>

With you being a public worker you will never agree with me view point about work ethic and attitude but it is blatantly obvious from what I've seen over the years and I've done many projects in partnership with both councils. A couple of workers from one even hired some hot desks in our office for a couple of months last year, that was a massive eye opening as one of them played games most of the day and despite supposedly covered a dozen areas, only ever went to one <laugh>

They're not all bad though, I've worked with some great council officers, plus I have a few council working mates too. They just seem to be few and far between. I also realise that financial constraints make things different.

I do quite enjoy it when I get into an argument with the council though as I can normally talk rings around most of them :)

We really don't know the legal aspect here.

Arsenal thought Suarez had to be let go for £40mill.... blurrrgh!
Maybe he did or did not have a buy out clause. Maybe we were a few mill short of that clause.

If the owner did block despite buyout clause being activated I hope we do push him for the transfer through the correct sources... I'd also look into if Kono could come to us now as a free agent.

If the owner did break these rules- I'm not sure what his punnishment should be (besides letting the guy go). Ban Dnipro (sp?) from being allowed to purchase any players for a year? Ban them from international competition for 5 years? A fine? Being forced to sign Roy Hodgson as manager? I don't know what is appropriate.

We don't actually know that any rules have been broken yet. But if they have... burn... burn... burn...

We got 4 inches here... usually on the rare occassion it snows here- it all melts within 24 hours. Stayed cold this time- so two days later still have a smattering of it left.

There were rumors in the summer Saudi Aramco were trying to buy the club from £350mill- but they were rubbished by FSG.

Not sure 7 trillion owners will help too much anymore with FFP. (although City, Chelsea, PSG still manage to bend the FFP rules, so maybe we can too- just not as overtly as they did when they first got money).

Oh don't get me wrong, I've shifted a fair few out that displayed what you may consider typical behavior and I've witnessed empires of them built to be mutually lazy bastards in other departments. That's my point, hard to espouse effort if the guy next door gets paid the same to surf.....

As I say, it's why I'll not make the big bucks.... I can't stand the scam. It's also why I'm also disliked in the union, I keep pointing out that they do us no favours arguing for keeping 20th century terms & conditions but 21st century pay, I'd rather 21st jobs for the better pay, those that can't shouldn't just be made managers. They (over here which is laughable) ran to start blaming the Tories for everything when it's been going on last ten years under the party we pay for! It's why I hate union affiliation with a government party. Only works once that one time the party is made up of workers. 2 jags shows where it ends up. Miliband? Might have sat at the knee of a socialist but he's as middle-class as they come. Spoilt brat that didn't want a real job....Grerr. sorry enough!!!!

Don't get me wrong I'm not a martyr with a calling, it's just a job. But it's easy and relatively well paid. The least I can do is do it well lol......many of my Mates do 50+ working in a chilled factory gutting or butchering chickens....the rest are in trades that aren't trading. I'm lucky simple as that.

    ****ing snowing.

Good grief... if we did get a new owner- would they start investigating whether to build or renovate all over again? Spades in the ground by 2020?

I think I'd rather stick with FSG!
