Haha exactly same happend to me with megavideo!!. Housemates proper bum The office US so trying to get into it.. but just cant!!! Its just not the same
I'm only watching Dexter because my bastard housemate got me into it! He has the first 3 series on dvd, so just watched them straight. Now I'm back home and have to settle for online.
You aren't alone there. I can't stand the US version. How on earth does it get nominated for awards!?

Have you heard of how to get around it?
If you choose a film/video to watch on it press play, pause it and then let it load completely (may have to crack open a beer/make a brew/go for a **** etc etc).
Once that's done, if on IE or Firefox (haven't used Chrome so don't know about that), click on File then scroll down to work offline and make sure that's ticked.
Press play and relax in the knowledge you won't get the 72 minute limit
!SWIM has filesonic and hotfile accounts for downloading, wouldn't touch torrents with yours after one of my mates got done in my 2nd year!

Big fan of Dexter well worth watching but you'd need to start at the beginning really for it to make sense. No point joining with the episodes currently airing.

Series 4 as well. I missed the early episodes though so i'm waiting til it comes out and I'll get it on dvd and watch it all at once. I think it is released soon so not long to wait. Gives me a chance to re-watch series 3 before it comes out so I get a reminder of where its at!
They demanded he paid something ridiculous for every illegal download. He got out of it though as he was in a student house (the broadband was in his name alone) and as he said he couldn't be responsible for everyone in the house (them being full adults and all) and as they all denied responsibility they couldn't prosecute him, but still put me off torrents for good!
