Backs what the thejudge13 said, very scary situation. I mean Red Bull and 6 other cars might not be able to make it for the first 3 races if it's this bad... No way will Seb sit around not being allowed to drive, wouldn't put it past him making his contract null and void right there and then and jump to somewhere else, Sauber or Force India.
Soooooo any way..... That Renault engine? My Dad told me never to buy French when it comes to cars.
I wonder if Red Bull would loan him out to keep his championship alive. Sauber would definitely take him given how crap their drivers are, and he could definitely score handy points there and keep himself in the hunt. The RB10's clearly a very well designed car aerodynamically and will be handy once all the issues are sorted out, but if it's going to be midseason before the engine's sorted out they may as well not run and save their engine quota for the second half of the season.
Post boobies.... It's the only surefire way of getting them back.

If Red Bull intend to keep him after this year they would be smart to not make it harder for him to win the world title again. Sauber could use the money because Esteban and Sutil would hardly bring the money or performance the degree Vettel could for that short time. And I'm sure the smart Peter Sauber would enjoy to see a fully paid Red Bull logo on the side of that car just to fully back 1 driver for a few races.
Vettel can just spend his RB time in the simulator until that 'plucking' engine is 'plucking' sorted!
Could Mercedes or Ferrari put pressure on any of their teams not to take Vettel, if it was a serious option?

Interesting article :Renault on power train problems Quote ' The next stage is to identify the root causes for the problems we experienced' Sounds like they are up a creek without a paddle.
Worrying that they don't know root causes!!
Hope they can have a power train running reliably even if limited on power for next test.
"We have not run enough laps, and when we have they have not been run at an acceptable performance level.....We now know that the differences between dyno and car are bigger than we expected.....We are a long way from the type of operation we had planned and prepared for..... Some problems are particular to one installation environment, but it is our responsibility to deal with all of them.......The next stage is to identify the root causes for the problems we experienced......The step we must take to reach an acceptable level of in-car performance is bigger than we would have liked"
As I reported yesterday, I have been informed by a source whose reliability is unquestionable, the complete fix for Renault’s woes will take between 15 and 20 weeks, and seeing as it was TJ13 who exclusively revealed the Renault problems on Monday night – days before anyone else – this information is equally solid.
Too right. Only ever had one. A Peugeot 306 HDI. Nice ride, good engine, but electrics were shot, kept going into safe mode and as for the rain sensitive wipers, who the hell thought French electronics and water go together?
WOW Renault are completely f**ked! Just to take some quotes from that link:
This is a nightmare scenario for Renault - and that's just what they're saying in public. This is what TJ13 is saying:
