Magnessen lost the rear while correcting oversteer. Not sure what caused Kvyat's stop - probably Renault.

Interesting article :Renault on power train problems Quote ' The next stage is to identify the root causes for the problems we experienced' Sounds like they are up a creek without a paddle.
Worrying that they don't know root causes!!
Hope they can have a power train running reliably even if limited on power for next test.

Just a little reminder to the Ferrari fans when they once had engines problems themselves and were allowed to improve it by Renault, Mercedes and Cosworth: http://www.jamesallenonf1.com/2010/...elona-with-new-rear-wing-and-updated-engines/

I highly doubt the other 2 engine makers or their designers for that matter will object to Renault improving their designs over the next few months as one day it might happen to them...............again :)

Paul Hembery: "We are completely open, flexible and ready to adapt our tyres should the tests in Bahrain identify any need to do so."

Yeah but the teams won't allow you to be sensible, they're to worried about giving a rival an advantage

Handy Jerez stats via Pirelli: 1470 laps and 6509 kms this week, while last year the teams ran 3531 laps and 15634 kms

Backs what the thejudge13 said, very scary situation. I mean Red Bull and 6 other cars might not be able to make it for the first 3 races if it's this bad... No way will Seb sit around not being allowed to drive, wouldn't put it past him making his contract null and void right there and then and jump to somewhere else, Sauber or Force India.

We'll have to see what happens in Bahrain. Theres still time to fix the issues but the problem is that all the other teams will be working on making their car faster, not slower and more reliable.

Wow it's all gone tits up for Renault and Red Bull this week. Seems that the Red Bull car and the Renault engine are not exactly best buddies. Is it true that Newey has been too aggressive on the design front, offering a tight package but little room for an already troubled engine to breath? Surely that would require some major redesigns to loosen it up? Could we have a major f**k up of Michelin style proportions.....perhaps bigger? When your team manager and chief designer rush back to HQ then something is rotten in the state of Red Bull.

<laugh> And 40 of them disappeared, just like that - well done, Iceman!

Seriously though, why not join up and tell us what you think? Love, Max xx

Edit: Sorry, Iceman, it's probably not your fault; I blame Renault.
