Could we stick this at the top and could people just add news as they hear it...then those of us at work can use this thread as our reference point instead of scanning through loads of threads?

Just hope there is some long term thinking involved...fed up of massive changes being needed at each transfer window.

Slightly OT but im in Paris this weekend for the rugby. Can you suggest anywhere that might possibly be showing the Burnley match?

Im staying montparnesse but anywhere central good

With Austin out for probably most of the remainder of the season no one elase scoring we really need to push the boat out to get a proven goal scorer in. Of course, other clubs may hold us to ransom knowing our situation but Rhodes has to be the target.

HR has said this:
"We're looking to bring a couple of strikers in on loan if we can - we're not going to spend big money."
Forget Rhodes and suchlike!
Sure but isn't that typical of Harry on deadline day, says NO but means YES!

Why do we need long-term thinking, in a tough transfer market ?

We need 2 strikers to continue our promotion push. In the summer we have time to bring in a permanent striker (or 2) to partner Charlie, and perhaps one of loans works out well, to make permanent.

My day will be trying to focus on work, whilst this site, BBC Sport and Newsnow QPR page tick away on a different screen..... :)

From the DM ................

QPR keeping tabs on former Chelsea defender Mancienne
Sportsmail's Charles Sale reports: 'Former Chelsea defender Michael Mancienne who has been sidelined at German club Hamburg is interesting QPR. But the deal might be difficult to complete with so little time in the window left.'

From BBC Sport Football ............

DONE DEAL
QPR have signed Aaron Hughes on loan from Fulham. Harry's not going to let that transfer window close without him landing a few new players.
