I thought if they recalled, the fee is refunded? Like that is the price they pay, I might be wrong though.
I thought we had a fee agreed end of season, so doesnt that mean he cant be recalled ?? or is it a different reason ? I wouldnt be THAT bothered as he isnt our player next week . . he isn't quite the player we need in defensive midfield , we need a ball winner with an engine , but i dont expect theres one available in Jan for £3mill tho
According to today's Dull Daily the time has passed for his recall. http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/Dead...ermore-Matty/story-20536635-detail/story.html
Is the Daily Mail the one usually touted as accurate for us, or is that the Mirror? Strange no one else at all has picked this up tbh. I'd be surprised if this happened, not sure what he'd offer them more than they've already got.
Yeah I don't mean the HDM. The article that kicked this off is from the Daily Mail. You saying you think thats the one that's accurate for us normally?
It seems it was bollocks... BBC Humberside Sport ‏@HumbersideSport #Hull City boss Steve Bruce says Jake Livermore stays for the duration of his season long loan. #hcafc
I totally agree with you, although it needs qualifying with the understanding that summer builds for the season, January strengthens the team to save the season, so it inevitably costs more.
It may well turn out to be those signings that keep us up and I don't have an issue with the players themselves, my issue is solely with our debt level now being around £90m.
I have no worries about the debt. the debt is manageable and without it, where would we be? If you look at what has been achieved with the money it is a small miracle. The financial structure works well for the football club as well as the owner. How much does the average premier league squad cost?
It's funny watching all the worms poke out after 2 gash performances. I don't think there was anyone else agreeing that we've vastly overspent. By a Long way.
Premier League teams obviously cost a lot of money and carry ridiculous wage bills, I just think we've gone from a summer of getting value for money, to a winter of not doing so(which often happens in January, I'd just rather it wasn't happening to us). I also don't agree that the debt is manageable, our debt now exceeds our annual income and we're trading at a loss, that's a poor position to be in for any business.
But to get to the point we are at took considerable investment, starting from nil. I'm sure the spending will slow down and the debt capped as you said before at approx. 100 million. This means we have to break even on our income. At that point our owner will be able to take a Large wage, interest on loans plus fees every year. This could be as much as 6.5 million pa. Or in premier league terms, If the owner wasn't taking this money out, we could buy another player plus wages instead. I would soon Assem Allam rewarded himself for his efforts so far (all done out of his own pocket) than have one more Danny Graham type player in the squad.
