Every recent season? The last three you mean. L.F.C nearly went bust and that's the only reason a pitiful club like Spurs finished ahead of us. It was only a matter of time before normal service was resumed and its happening a lot quicker than expected to be honest

It's a fact that we are making 'Pool look better than they have any right to be, at the moment. Once we get it right (ie. players gel, Sherwoodie is replaced with a real manager, etc) it will be business as usual, and we'll be finishing comfortably above you.

As for 'Pool, I'm not convinced that you're going to hang on to Goofy. Yes, there's this release clause for £120 million, but absolutely no one is going to pay that kind of money (although I suspect that Goofy's ego thinks they will), and when they don't and it dawns on the idiot that he's tied himself for even longer into a backwater club, he'll really lose it - tantrums, refusing to play, dressing room discontent, etc - and you'll be forced to sell him for something more reasonable, like £40 m.

To be honest we're (mostly) all amazed at where we are in the table.

We royally ****ed up a few windows ago with the January/summer outlay.

But when you look at it -

Carroll - utter waste, worst transfer ever

Downing - average player, hugely overpaid by about £10m+

Adam - was effective but not good enough to play Rodgers' style. Waste of money when you think his fee could have gone towards someone else.

Henderson - turning out to be totally worth the £14-16m we paid.

Enrique - solid, worth the money. Has been missed this season.

Suarez - no description needed. Would sell for enough money to make up for Downing and Carroll.

Coates - youth is a gamble, came with a big reputation... Probably a waste but we'll get a few million for him.

I don't recall saying we were particularly good at the moment, although out league position is hardly dire.

As I have said, I didn't create this thread, although I would have thought it was blindingly obvious what it's intent was. Again, I don't come on here to take the piss, merely to respond in kind to those L'pool fans who do.
