6 against Arsenal, 4 against Utd and many, many goals against many others. I expect them to do Chelsea too next week. City's title to lose.
Well if one manager can stop them, it's that prick in charge of Chelsea. And if they still manage to trash Chelsea, than the league might as well just hand them trophy there and then.
I have always thought Goal line decisions and penalty calls, offsides and sending offs should be checked by video...it wouldn't waste any less time than the arguing! can't believe we got the **** end of the stick...sky twat macnally defending the decision to send rose off...i wish i got his money for being so ****ing clueless
We are ****ing ****. I have been saying it a long time Levy is a bag of **** who has made consistent terrible decisions. Still don't get why some people here defend him. The man is ****ing clueless.
I've just looked it up and it's not true. Sorry. http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/referees/appointments/
We most probably would have lost tonight, anyway - but not 5-1. What we didn't need was that dickhead of a linesman!.
I've been saying for ages that he should shoulder the blame for some disastrous decisions. Mostly his managerial appointments.
Let's face it, £ity will dominate football in Manchester for the next decade. United's time in the spot-light has passed.
Sherwood got the initial team selection wrong, so he has to shoulder some of the blame, especially as he basically made the same mistake that he made against the Goons. It's never a good sign when the manager doesn't learn from his mistakes. He did bring Capoue on, but he was forced to do so. We'll see if it's finally clicked soon, I guess.
A match like that makes you wonder if the linesman has been bought. It would be a lot less obvious than bribing a ref. They must get paid a lot less as well.
Two things happened today: City confirmed they are a much better side than we are, and we were robbed of the real possibility of a result, and the fans of a game, thanks to what I believe was a clearly wrong call against Rose. Add that Toure might have deserved a sending off and there's plenty to be angry about. (No quarrel, now, with the disallowed goal, though). Still, my complaints don't deny the truth that City are better by a wide margin. It's hard to pick out bright spots, quite honestly, though I turned the game off after the penalty. Rose was good, I thought. Eiriksen had a couple of terrific corners, but didn't look very good otherwise. Ade might have been our best player, though that's not saying much. Either him or Chiriches, who looked pretty cool through the first 2/3 of the game. I guess Dembele was hurt. Bentaleb didn't look good enough. Walker was decent as well, though he was overrun at first. Dawson had some decent clearances, but just doesn't have the pace to play at City's level. Lennon was strangely anonymous. Well, we'll have to pick ourselves up off the floor and do it fast. The biggest disappointment to me was that we came out so lacking in energy when we were the fresher team, and desperately needed to be running harder than City.
Looking at the penalty decision again, it's not only not a foul, but Dzeko dives, too. https://vine.co/v/MuVxtIVtJWE He's clearly going over before there's any hint of contact.
I can't see it clicking unfortunately. Sherwood backed up by Les just don't accept the need for a bit of defending now and then. Stopping these teams is, on paper at least, easy. You pack the midfield and stop their passing. You aim to hit them on the counter and stifle their offensive play by strong pressing. Sherwood tries to go in all guns blazing and attempts to match City/Arsenal etc. - we don't have the squad ability to do that.
That's because Rose had won the ball. Was there actually any contact after Rose fairly won the ball? It was minimal if there was.
"Sherwood backed up by Les just don't accept the need for a bit of defending now and then." So how did the U21s destroy the entire league all last season in MF ?? Did I imagine those umpteen games of Luongo/Parrett/Munns etc putting in all the unpretty spadework in CM that allowed Carroll and Pritchard to boss the game ??
