The two Italian boys West ham picked up are great signings. I'd have been more than happy with them even if it was just a stop gab until summer. We need to make some inroads pronto or we are going to start looking silly.
The offer of â¬11m has been rejected and they expect a new bid but at the same time they want to find a replacement...
Very interesting from Sky and Sun: "Adel Taarabt has been told he has no future at Fulham, according to The Sun. The Moroccan is on loan from Queens Park Rangers but has fallen out of favour under Rene Meulensteen and the Cottagers reportedly want him off the wage bill by the end of the week." He must be either very lazy or too cocky. Unless is lazy journalism. Rene gave him opportunities and thought he did well when played up front alone.
Rene is probably also frustrated at not being able to take advantage of domestic loans. Making it happen may be more problematic though, since QPR would have to agree to his return as there is no clause allowing us to cut the loan deal short.
Presumably the only way we get him off the wage bill is if his agent finds another club who are willing to take him. That way QPR would have no reason to say 'no'. Is there some rule against players representing three different clubs in the same season, or does that only apply to permanent transfers?
That's a very good question... Or actually both of them!!! If the rumours are true regarding strikers I would not be surprised to see that!
Stories around that we are indeed having another go to get Ravel Morrison. "Fulham will make a final move to sign Ravel Morrison from West Ham before the transfer window closes on Friday night. The Cottagers value Morrison at around £6 million and will make an improved bid after their initial £4m offer was rejected earlier this month, but the west London club are pessimistic about their chances of landing the midfielder. West Ham have told Morrison that he will not leave this month unless a club meets their £10m valuation, which would trigger a clause that states the Hammers must increase his earnings to £60,000-a-week."
Seems like a waste of time bidding £6m for a player valued at £10m. If they are not willing to pay the £10m then just move on to the next target and get it sewn up. If we end up paying £10m on deadline day I'll be happy with the signing overall but furious that it wasn't done earlier so we could use in for crucial games.
I know it's abit ****ty but why don't we offer 10 million so they have to offer him 60k then withdraw the bid then go back in for him at a lower price as they will want to get him off the wage bill lol.
Sneaky. Presumably the clause is that if a club offers 10 million and it's rejected then they have to increase his wages. It wouldn't make sense increasing his wages after accepting an offer.
No I don't think that's what it means. That's just a clause that Morrisson had put in his contract as sort of a win/win situation. If somebody offers 10 million he can leave or if that move doesn't happen he'll get 60k per week.
Taarabt loan ended, he goes to AC Milan in return for Zaccardo on loan he's a 32 year old CB....not sure.
Doubt it would be that cheap, he only joined Milan last January. But it does open up a domestic loan spot I think?
Sky Italy are reporting on twitter that we have signed greek Olympiacos striker Kostas Mitroglou for 14m euros, subject to a medical.
great, ta ta Billy Big Boll***s Berbatov. It's been great knowing you for the 3 games you've actually played and put effort in to for 18 months!
