Wouldn't be too fussed. Connors a very good championship player

Me neither mate, always had high hopes for the lad but he's been through 5 managers and they all left him out. If he isn't in Gus's plans then we may as well use him as leverage for Bridcutt or a.n.other.

Sky Sports sources understand that Sunderland have agreed a fee of £3million with Internacional for striker Ignacio Scocco. Sunderland have spent much of the January transfer window trying to finalise a deal for Scocco, who was also linked with a move to former club Newell's Old Boys.

Scocco sounds like a Borini-type player. Small and quick. Probably need a bigger lad as a foil for him, which may mean Connor or Dozy getting more playing time?

Scary thought, unless Gus has plans for other players coming in/going out...?

Sunderland have signed Argentina international striker Ignacio Scocco from Internacional for £3m, according to Sky sources.

Sunderland boss Gus Poyet has beaten off competition from Cardiff's Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to land the 28-year-old.

Scocco has been a long-term target for Sunderland, and they wanted him before his summer switch to Internacional.

I think Gus has decided he wants Borini for the wing.
3 Mill for a canny looking proven striker makes more sense than the 8 we spent for wickham.

Sid I'm not sure Gus cares much for the old big lad up front theory mate. He wants us to to play football and keep ball. You only have to look at Barcelona to see that they have been incredibly successful with a bloke no taller than my 9 year old as their main striker?

I'm not suggesting btw that Scocco is as good as Messi but you get my drift?

nacho libre and borini up top
supported by Giacc Ki and Aj
with Catts holding fort?

a bit similar to Liverpool

that lot might be able to play together/ on the same wavelength

I hope he is as good as this lad. <laugh>
