Great to see you back (and hopefully recovering quickly) Fran. I did point out yesterday that we might need to restrain you after you heard the news.

Back now and recovering. Truly awful op...imagine lying still for 2 hours, unable to move whilst someone moderately tortures you. Any flinch and you get told they are doing a delicate bit. Had 2 doses of diamorphine (why anyone takes that for fun I will never know) which laid me up all day. Hopefully on mend now.

Good to see all went well. <ok>

What's to complain about then? Sounds great.

Made me feel like I had a lead weight holding me down and I felt sick and was sick. Two days later I feel crap. I don't think I'd make a good drug addict.

Welcome back Fran! I hope that you continue to get better quickly. Try not to do too much when you feel a bit stronger- it's often two steps forward, one back with these things.
I had a major back op a couple of years back and when the normal painkillers weren't doing it, they gave me an opiate based painkiller and I felt so much nausea I never took another. The discomfort was actually preferable to the side effects. Good to see you back.
