Got back from work a happy man - dodged a big bullet not signing Salah. I've made my opinions clear over him recently so really happy it's not gone through - the guys a waster.
Means we have more money to spend in positions we need to strengthen (hopefully).
Salah was pointless as he wouldn't improve our first 11. I've got no idea why Chelsea have bought him, absolutely nuts!! They don't even need a new midfielder - they already have about 150 that are better than him!! Weird.
Chelsea need a world class CB and a world class striker. We need a world class DM and a RB.
Means we have more money to spend in positions we need to strengthen (hopefully).

I know strengthening that position was not really a priority but im a little concerned that our negotiators have lost out again over penny pinching. I honestly don't know much about Salah but £11m is not a big fee by todays standards. Also if we only value him at £8m I don't see how a player we value so cheap would improve the team

Yeah I was thinking the same. Every team has plenty of defenders. Does not mean they are any good
Salah is a good player in a terrible league. His stats are average and he's simply been bought for scoring a couple of decent goals in the CL. I've watched him for Basle a few times when the rumours were starting to surface a while back now, not impressed one bit. Very one dimensional, fast off the ball, slow on the ball. Not good with his head, and very rash at making decisions. Bit like Assiadi in many ways.
Even youtube users have struggled getting a good clip of him together. He'll be a reserve player for Chelsea or another player on loan. That'll make Chelsea have 26 players out on loan!!
Have to work hard at getting injured players back soon. Spoke to them today.
Need them to work evern harder to get back as quickly as they can as the squad needs them. Reaction was great. We're all in it together. Have to make do with what we have got.

Might be a lucky escape for us. Hopefully now BR will work out that its not the area we should be strengthening this winter. Spend the money somewhere it'll actually do some good.

Personally, I didn't know what to expect from him. Worried he would be Salah mk2, however now, he is bench warmer number 7. Will he ever play football there?
