An injury free Aluko wouldn't get in to your first 11?

He only fits in a 3-5-2 as part of the 2, and if Bruce wanted along enough to pay double for him, I doubt he'd leave him out in favour of Aluko. Jelavic will play too.

Has to be 4-4-2 I think.

Interesting you say that he prefers Long over Aluko, even though he said sorting his contract was of utmost importance. Brady at left back scares me a little bit.

Palace is another must win, Aluko Long and Brady are surely back then?

how did we play? i didn't see it and only just found out the result..

<yikes>

Well we don't really know that yet do we, but considering Brucey wanted him badly enough to pay around twice his value in fees and wages, one can only assume he won't be left out.

Maybe a traditional old school 4-3-3 might do the trick

Shagger
Elmo Chezzy Davies Brady
Livermore Thudd Quinn
Long Jelavic Aluko

Sort of agree about Brady at left back but when on form he's fantastic and needs to be in the team, would offer us a hell of a lot of width and isn't actually all that bad defensively, maybe not one to pull off amazing last ditch standing tackles but he's got pace enough to keep ahead of or get in front of anyone. Elmo's a different story in regards that 4-3-3, he's an awful defender, but I'm trying to do it how Brucey probably would, and Elmo's a favourite so I'd imagine would get the nod over Rosey.

If Elmo plays RB over Rosie when Rosie performs like that I don't understand how Bruce thinks

Once we lost Chester we lost all shape and our midfield was awful.Hudd and Livermore were totally non existent and for Bruce to keep Koren on the park was an error.Taking off Sagbo who again held the ball up well and showed some great touches was a mistake also especially when all our back four did was to bypass the midfield with a "hoof" upfield so that the ball came straight back at us.Apart from the first 20 mins that has to rank as one of our worst performances.Figgy should not have come on to disrupt the defensive set up ,it would have been preferable to keep our set up and bring on Faye. Brucey YOU got it wrong.

My views almost word for word. Hudd was lethargic..hardly made a run of more than two yards. Koren again did little other than his early run and pass which Jelavic should have scored from. Boyd or Quinn should have replaced Koren at half time. Norwich totally outplayed us in midfield...20 shots to 7 tells the story of their superiority. We never looked like scoring after the first 15 minutes.

Shocking performance... The midfield was non-existent. We were fine up until Chester went off and we changed our shape temporarily. Figueroa, Koren, Huddlestone and Livermore had shockers IMO.

I'm maybe being a bit harsh on Jelavic considering it's his debut, but he should have scored from 7 yards. I knew missing that chance would come back to haunt us.

Rosenior had a cracking game, he's been performing to more of a Premier League standard than Figueroa IMHO.

Might get away with a 433 if Long chases back as much as we think he does.

I think we need 3 wins and 3 draws. That gives us 35 points which I think will be enough.

Normally wipe my ****ty arse with stats but.......

35 shots in the game only 4 on target, all Norwich.

We had 10 all off target.
