too much of this pass back to the keeper, hoof it up field, lose possession going on

The full-backs doing it is fine, because it often results in the wide-men receiving it in a crossing position.

Alex Bruce lumping it high, as opposed to long, and giving it to an opposing midfielder so he can run at him (before clobbering into him and giving a free-kick away) isn't so good. We need at least one more centre-half, and a winger too.

oh well.. we cant win em all

in the first half Rosie was utter pants, I don't know what SB said to him at half time, but it appears to have worked.

we needed Quinn instead of fryup.
but SB sees the boys in training

Totally agree, but as soon as we have a bad run, people become twats instead of encouraging the team. Yes it's a bad loss, a draw would have been perfect, but we go to Palace knowing we need a win. We haven't 'needed' to win in a very long time, hopefully Long and Jela lead the line and we put in a good shift.

Palace is another must win, Aluko Long and Brady are surely back then?

I wouldnt blame Bruce for that, Davies did it too. Because, as you said, Hudd kept knocking it back to them.
We got beat in the middle of the park. The Sperzz boys need to stop acting like fannys and get stuck in. Fer dominated the midfield.

I admire your defence of Bruce but come on even you must get tired of it soon. The way Hooper played a one two and Rosenior had to come and cover cause he left Bruce because his turning circle is huge. His distribution was very poor today, but Davies's wasn't great showed how much we missed Chessy and his distribution.

I thought Rosie was one of our better players but he needed to push forward more as did Elmo as otherwise there is barely any movement for Thudd and barely anyone for him to pass to.

Once again Liam Rosenior proving that he isnt good enough. Offers nothing going forward, cant pass the ball to player on the same team and cant cross the ball to save his life. Got beaten far too easily in the air for their goal.

New to the forum so not sure if you're on a windup. But, are you joking? He was by far our best player today.

Koren was our 2nd best player today. He created that sitter Jelavic **** on. By incident our ONLY chance in the entire game. That should have been our point. Anyone blaming Koren today needs to give their head a ****ing good bang, I doubt we'd have even had a single shot without him.

He was our best defender on the pitch.

in the summer transfer window maybe.. we were missing Aluko and Brady today.. we needed someone to boss the midfield.

Thudd was off his game today.

Maybe he purposely got a second yellow to wipe out his first, he knew that the only game he would miss would be the FA cup, I think staying up is more of a priority.

A defender beaten by a one two!! Wow. You've never played the game have you. A full back doing his job and covering behind his CB's?? Wow.

We lost the game in the centre of the park. Anyone remember the ball that was launched high in the air second half? Hudd and Jake both stood ten yards away and looked at it. While Fer just waited underneath it. Would Ash boateng or even Marney have done that? No.

Anyone else thinkg Hudd looked a little heavy??

Once we lost Chester we lost all shape and our midfield was awful.Hudd and Livermore were totally non existent and for Bruce to keep Koren on the park was an error.Taking off Sagbo who again held the ball up well and showed some great touches was a mistake also especially when all our back four did was to bypass the midfield with a "hoof" upfield so that the ball came straight back at us.Apart from the first 20 mins that has to rank as one of our worst performances.Figgy should not have come on to disrupt the defensive set up ,it would have been preferable to keep our set up and bring on Faye. Brucey YOU got it wrong.

The problem we had was that Fig got booked. This became a liability with Snodgrass pressing

I'd have much rather seen Rosie at RB and Elmo at RM

For Palace I would have someone sat on Jedinek (Meyler) using the 352 that has served us well.

Jelavic looks full of running. He needs service though.

The team (injury free) for the run in should be

Mac
McShane
Davies
Chester
Brady
Elmo
Thudd
Livermore
Meyler
Long
Jelavic

The players are comfortable in this set up

An injury free Aluko wouldn't get in to your first 11?
