Our away record is **** in terms of points but we've played well pretty much every game, had almost all of the hardest games away and still only got beat by 3 goals once.

Only if Elmo's crossing gets back to how it was last season. This season it's been dire.

Elmo's crossing has been so dismal that he stopped bothering when shouted at by Bruce recently and took to cutting inside instead. He doesn't beat his man enough.

That said, it is usually as we are soooooooo slow in the build up that he is against a settled back four and has little option.
When we play at pace and he can run he is so much better. Too often he seems to be relied on to do something when he gets the ball against a team that have had time to reorganise their lines.

Also, he has rarely got anyone to aim at in the box!

Figgy not been great but I'm still surprised he's dropped him and Meyler too!! No Graham on the bench either.

    Would've gone 442 tbh, 352 hasn't worked in ages.

I'm glad Quinniesta is back though. He'll be perfect to bring on after about 65-70 minutes.

Meyler seems to be an easily droppable player. Seems like whenever we lose we drop Meyler, give Koren another chance in midfield based on god knows what, Koren plays ****, Meyler comes back in next game and the cycle restarts.

I'm hoping Quinny not playing is fitness related. He's so much better than Koren and suits playing on the left of the midfield 3 perfectly.

    It must be:

    McGregor
    Chester - Bruce - Davies
    Elmo - Livermore - Huddlestone - Rosenior
    Koren
    Jelavic - Sagbo

I'd also prefer to see a 442 today but we'll see how it goes.

I'm guessing Bruce is going to favour 3-5-2 to fit Long and Jelavic in the team, if that's the case we really need a new centre half. As excellent as Bruce has been defensively he's not comfortable enough on the ball at this level, he's had a couple of arse wobblers that we've been fortunate to evade punishment from but sooner or later at this level it will start getting punished.

But mainly as the central figure in a back 3 Bruce probably sees as much of the ball as any other City player in a match, I think we'd be a far more comfortable side with a more assured ball player to build a platform from.

He definitely needs a new contract ASAP though it runs out in the summer, and he's as good backup as we could hope for.
