As long as the CEO runs the club sensibly and well, I don't give a tiny **** whether he/she is a football person.
 
For me, having slept on it, I would much rather someone like Purslow than a foreign random.

He has a) Football knowledge and b) knowledge and experience of handling major sponsorship deals and selling a club.

This for me is good enough if he came in as whatever capacity KL brings him in, he will be experienced at all aspects. I for one would feel at ease.

We wont know if its with the remit of selling the club as I feel this will be behind close doors discussion and not in the press !!

You didnt seriously just say that did you ???

I think the fact he instigated the buyout of us and was the one who made it happen I dont think we can say he was a foreign random ?!!! At that point in time if Mickey Mouse bought us out it would have been a step forward !

Well, you were the one who used the phrase "foreign random" and defined it as not having football knowledge, which Cortese by his own admission did not have.

KL has had a few months to get on top of this and I think NC would have still offered help, It was his vision that got ML to buy the club.

I'd like to think this has happened with the best interest of the club being highly considered by both parties.
 
Hi Guys, don't normally post but Purslow is/was a non exec director at a company I used to work at so have met him a few times. I guess I can't really speak for his football chairman capabilities, but lets just say I'd be VERY disappointed if he was appointed.

Yeah, that's kind of where I am having spoken to quite a few Liverpool fans about this.....
