I've been to St Petersburg - nasty, vile city. People are rudest you could meet and the atmospehere is really, really menacing. It's much nicer than Manchester.
Ballon D'or
What a useless award now I've seen how the voting goes.

Ivan Khan (Mozambique): Lahm, Ronaldo, Lewandowski

I got mugged in St P'burg, still loved it though. Plus, it's like St Tropez in comparison to Moscow.
Mi sister was married to a guy from West Croydon, and my uncle owned a shop there, never had a problem there![]()
Rubbish article to be honest. Firstly, obviously people are going to vote tactically so they or their mates win, it's simple human nature.
The journo criticises peoples picks simply on the fact that Messi and Ronaldo weren't their automatic picks.
Perfectly sensible vote, Lahm's captained his team to a treble this season. If others didn't inflate the ability of strikers over defenders it might actually be a credible award![]()
Ronaldo was the worthy winner though.

I never had any problems in St Petersburg.
Mind you, this was the one in Florida, not Russia...
Cash Converters or Chicken Cottage? They usually do okay in WesCro.
No doubt about that this year. To my mind Messi is JUST the better player, only just though because the two of them are utterly phenomenal. Ronaldo deserved it this year because Messi has spent too much time injured on the sidelines to justify him winning it this year. Ronaldo is the complete footballer and a superb athlete, which to me makes it all the more remarkable that Messi can outscore him because CR has so much going for him.
We're very lucky to be able to watch them in the same league going head to head every season. Long may it continue![]()
Agree. Sometimes i don't understand how Messi is so good. Ronaldo on the other hand you can see exactly why.
Easily the 2 best players in my time i would say, including Zidane
No,a grocers shop in Blackhorse lane, back in the 70's,not to far from Selhurst Station

Not exactly rivals but Nicola Cortese has left Southampton.
Looks like their run is over as Mauricio Pochettino is expected to leave too.

Apprently it is over the sale of the club,as the woman who now owns them is not interested in football
All thanks to someone who doesn't even like football having the keys to the family vault.
Damn, we could've done with a repeat of bagging their manager and best defender. For Hoddle and Dean Richards, read Pochettino and Luke Shaw...
Maybe we still could,if Levy moves fast enough
