That performance should be the spring board to move us forward its evident we need quality back up look at the first goal.

As I said early if we play like that we will win more than we lose.

Pardew is a prick and I want him out however he expressed passion today
And actually gave a monkeys

Since man city got their act together
They have battered top top teams
This season look at spurs and arsenal
Man city Turned up today and looked class they left knowing they were in a game today.

I met a Canadian lass... I asked out a Canadian lass... I am now dating a Canadian lass...

Sandwich girl still exists I think... But she gives out her free sandwiches to someone else now... Probably to some Sheik with mega-money in the hope she might mysteriously get rewarded with a house in Qatar and a position among the elite refs at the world cup...

****... I think I ruined the subtlety of my analogy there...

If she is Canada Dry... you may be her solution.
Do you have a mountie costume yet?

I think we were great in parts today and for me... Anita was the pick.
The lad covers every blade of grass and makes things tick nicely.

Exactly and if you Forget the disallowed goal and consider pardew taking him off and piss farting about making changes 1 min after à 7 min stoppage it wasnt great management to say the least.

I thought he was unlucky to come off like ..he done well ..

what puzzled me about this game they had silva down as playing wide ..I knew he wouldn't play wide ..he kept playing central ..pardew should of seen this coming ( when does silva really play wide ).. maybe it would of stopped the first goal .

anita got done and gouffran got caught ..

Getting sick of this **** as much as I love the toon I have almost had enough of this ineptitude makes me feel sick hard enough competing with the big boys as it is without playing against the 12th man

It just proves that the bigger sides ultimately get the decisions and it makes a mockery of the whole competition and undermines and discredits it

this was the same for Man Utd for years.
I think on important decisions like today, there should be someone studying the same video evidence the rest of the world has.
That way it's a level playing field... the refs are happy cos their decision is the right one and the clubs should be too as the element of doubt is removed.

I agree something needs to be done I just can't understand from the refs position why he would overrule his linesman why would you do that, very sinister indeed

Strange that as they've been sold out for over a week, some things the club does just make no sense at times

We've been in the same boat too. The club say 'these are all the tickets we have to sell'... whilst turning down additional allocations on the side.
They made a canny bit of noise like still. It's a random thing but great to see no flares being lit either. It's getting all too common from visiting teams and seems like it's every weekend these days.

The NUFC.com report on the game.

Cheick fraud alleged

Newcastle 0 Manchester City 2

Goals in the opening and closing moments of the game ensured that the visitors recorded a tenth successive victory against Newcastle in all competitions on Sunday afternoon, regaining pole position in the Premier League.

United meanwhile slipped to fourth straight loss and third successive failure in front of goal in league matches.

Those bare facts however mask an afternoon of utter frustration for Alan Pardew and his side, who recovered from that early setback to summon up a heartening display against a side now unbeaten in 15 outings.

Concerns that City would profit from the absence of Mathieu Debuchy and Fabricio Coloccini were quickly realised when David Silva released Aleksandar Kolarov. He eluded stand-in right back Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa and slipped a pass in from the left flank to Edin Dzeko, who strode beyond Steven Taylor before firing home.

31 years to the day that the Gallowgate faithful were outraged by the antics of referee Trelford Mills in ruling out two legitimate-looking goals against Brighton, today's whistler Mike Jones created similar consternation among Toon fans in the 34th minute of the first half.

The beginnings of a Newcastle revival saw Yohan Cabaye saw his fierce shot from an acute angle tipped over by Joe Hart for a corner and when the Frenchman's flag kick was only half-cleared, Cheick Tiote sent a sizzling volley into the Leazes net.

Having apparently doubled his goalscoring tally after over 100 games for the club, Tiote made for the home dugout amid great scenes of celebration on and off the pitch.

Even greater pandemonium was to follow seconds later though, with referee Jones urged by City players to consult with the linesman on the East Stand touchline.

The goal was chalked off with Yoan Gouffran undoubtedly standing offside, but wrongly deemed to have interfered with play by taking evasive action to avoid the flight of the ball - Hart claming he'd been unsighted as a result. Less a poor decision, more a miscarriage of justice.

Inevitably the remainder of the half was played out amid a crescendo of booing, with both Moussa Sissoko (kicking the ball away in disgust) and Cabaye (verbals) booked.

Roared on by the crowd, United took the game to City in the second half after Tim Krul made a great block after 55 minutes to deny Silva.

Cabaye tested Hart just before the hour, before firing narrowly over on 68 minutes - Loic Remy then having clear sight of goal seconds later but driving against the goalkeeper's legs. It proved to be our best chance.

Much of United's forward impetus however was curbed by the 75th minute incident that saw Yanga-Mbiwa booked and Samir Nasri stretchered off. Despite City claims that the challenge warranted a red card however, it looked more clumsy than malicious on first viewing.

Steven Taylor then found himself in the box only to fire across goal as the linesman's flag went up (although a degree of doubt also surrounded that call), Remy put a header wide from a 90th minute corner and substitute Hatem Ben Arfa darted to the byline before opting to weakly shoot at Hart rather than provide a pull-back.

The final kick in the proverbials was provided by City's breakaway in the fifth minute of eight played, when a miscued pass from Tiote eventually led to ex-Magpie James Milner counter-attacking over halfway.

Alvaro Negredo showed Davide Santon a clean pair of heels before shooting against the body of Krul, but the rebound deflected back off the Spaniard who was then able to touch the ball home into the empty goal.

Pointless, luckless and goalless. Hopefully fortune won't be hiding for United at West Ham next week though, when they seek a fourth successive win in the capital. Anger is an energy - let's get stuck into Big Sham's lot.

God, that gets worse every time you see it.
If it helps (probably doesn't), Mike Jones has probably been in the ref's relegation zone for a little while now, so that could be it for him.
No conspiracy theory, just a crap call.
