Were it my team in your position, I'd be calling him to return.......just to stop a team below pulling closer each week. Its a no brainer. This could go down as one of the biggest loan mistakes in Premier League history.

**** off Dai you stupid old ****, I trust Laudrup over you any day of the week. I've already posted why I think Ki's performances for Sunderland can work for us, and today has proven me right on that. You are just showing yourself up to be a clueless old twat that everyone is getting fed up of.
Ban me, I don't care. I am really sick of this deluded scouse twat and can't believe he's got away with it this long

In between the arguing with Dai, we do have a good debate here though.

With only 5 fit first-team squad midfielders for a team that always plays with 5 midfielders, surely we have to get him back now?

My other debate is with your point about Ki's performances for Sunderland helping us. In some ways, yes. In other ways, no. Ideally, a draw between Fulham and Sunderland today would have been better for us. Currently, we're closer to 20th in the table than we've been for some time. As always, there's always a way to swing an argument in favour of a personal opinion. I still don't think we'll go down, but I don't think Ki's performances for Sunderland will play a significant part in that. Ki's performances will only play a significant part in deciding whether Sunderland finish the season above or below the Swans come May. Sunderland played Fulham twice this season. Fulham now have 17 games left and 51 points available to them. None of those games against Sunderland. What can Ki do about that? He can't stop Fulham picking up those points. At least in our squad, he can directly affect our points tally every game.

Ki having a good game for Sunderland against Fulham means nothing to me other than the fact that Sunderland are now 3 points closer to us than they were yesterday. With our squad this depleted, we're down to the youth team now with no experienced options even on the bench. So it's time to recall Ki, get a loan in, or buy. To not take action now would be a mistake.

Laudrup has ruled it out and stated that he would only be on the bench?.........................<laugh>

Ki should definitely be recalled immediately as his performances are pulling Sunderland closer to us.

Ki doesnt fit in Laudrups plans , which seems odd because he brought him in , but thats the scoop and we must deal with it .The better he plays with Sunderland , the better hell be when he comes back or the more hes worth when hes sold . Besides I think we got a new midfielder in Amat so we best find another central defender . The whole 1st half changed when Canas got injured . Between Amat moving up and chico coming on , we looked pretty smooth . Anyways , Laudrup got his reasons on Ki , we just dont know them.

Laudrup didnt bring in Ki sung, that signing was made by Huw Jenkins and the clubs own scouts, the wheels of that deal were well in motion before Laudrup came here :)

I thought Amat in midfield was different class yesterday, considering he was up against senior international players he pretty much bossed it, great technique and such a cool head for someone so young, i got no problem with Amat in midfield at all.

Amat ,in which ever position he's played in ,is calm and precise ,I don't know whether he's played there before but he did a good job yesterday but we fill one spot and weaken another .Alright as a stand in but will we have situation like Michu stating his preferred position ,not that it's been problem but two different players with different personalities

Assuming your right norway about out who brought in Ki , I guess it isnt as odd that Laudrup sent Ki out on loan .Midfielders should be back soon and someone might be brought in through tranfer so there may be a multitude of reasons why Ki wont be back with us this season . Not a big deal to me really , hope he plays well for Sunderland and he earns the money were charging them and raises his value

When we are able to start the 6 players we were missing yesterday we won't be anywhere near Sunderland come May. Have faith.

Ki was brought in by our own scouting system , JDG was brought in instead by Laudrup .
Barkley was brought in by our own scouting system , Amat was brought in instead by Laudrup .
Shelvey was brought in by our own scouting system , Pozeulo was brought in intead by Laudrup .
Bony was brought in by our own scouting system , Alvaro was brought in instead by Laudrup .

Nearly all these deal are done with Laudrup in the loop , nothing sinister about it, Ki was in motion before Laudrup arrived , both scouting systems have targets, i get the feeling that the diplomatic Laudrup agrees to certain things that normally he wouldnt knowing that he isnt here long term he probably understands that the club need to forge ahead with certain deals to maintain continuity after laudrups leaves .

You can make your own mind up with the game time those above have had under Laudrup :)

The ones worrying about Sunderland getting closer to us are the same ones that are saying on other threads that there's no way we'll get relegated. So what does it matter of they get closer to us. Make you minds up guys. I'm sure ML knows best, even though many of you think he's wrong.

The first thing you've posted in your short time here <laugh> that I agree with.

I always said Poyet would get them out of trouble and I stand by that. I also think he's do it without Ki so don't put 2 and 2 together to make 5. Recalling Ki might hurt them but we should be well above them come May anyway when our players return from injury.

There was no speculation regarding Ki's return, it was never going to happen under any circumstances.

As I've explained previously, Ki desperately wants to play in the next world cup but currently he is out of favor with his national set-up.

Ki was also unhappy that Michael Laudrup was thinking of converting him to centre-back. Michael Laudrup probably noticed, as did we all, that Ki was too slow, too inaccurate and too profligate with the ball, to be a trusted as a regular in midfield.

So Ki told Michael Laudrup that he wanted to play in midfield only and also that he wanted to start each week. Michael Laudrup couldn't/wouldn't promise this so Ki said he wanted to be listed. He was told that a transfer was out of the question and his strop began.

Ki continued his strop onto the training field, hardly putting in any effort and, allegedly, kicking balls away after training. Its a thing with the Swans that Michael Laudrup and the other coaches, collect all the balls after training, Ki, kicking them way, sent out a message.

After that it was decided for the good of the squad, moral etc, that Ki and his attitude go out on loan out of the way. Sunderland were the only team, prem or otherwise, which showed interest and Ki was gone within a week of his transfer request.

When he, Ki, was with us he was ineffective, slow, weak, easily pick pocketed. He was no Shelvey when passing either, he was ineffective. All he ever was, or ever will be with us, is another face on the bench, a bit player lacking the talent to be anything else.

    Bye bye Ki.

Ki is playing better at Sunderland because hes playing happy , as Stumpy eludes to. He will be sold to Sunderland because he apparently wasnt brought in by Laudrup , as Norway eludes to . Ill be happy to get a good part of our money back and Ki starts elsewhere.

Don't buy all that from Stumpy, the club have always closed ranks and put out misinformation when there are problems (Sousa), so I'm sure that Ki has a different story. The other points stumpy makes on Ki's game are also flawed, you only need to look at his games with Sunderland to see stumpy is talking crap, another goal, and a great assist, clearly Laudrup trying to play him out of position for the useless De Goose, would be enough for any gifted player to question the coaching staff, cannot blame the boy for wanting to play and go out on loan, and he's proved his critics are wrong!...................<laugh>

I've said before I like Ki but Stumpy is right in that he was never as effective for us as he was at Celtic or now at the Mackems. This may have been down to him playing out of position more than anything else. But as Stumpy says, when all our players return from injury I only see him on the bench, as does Laudrup. Obviously the player isn't happy with that so out on loan is the only option.

    Good post. <applause>
