There was no speculation regarding Ki's return, it was never going to happen under any circumstances.

As I've explained previously, Ki desperately wants to play in the next world cup but currently he is out of favor with his national set-up.

Ki was also unhappy that Michael Laudrup was thinking of converting him to centre-back. Michael Laudrup probably noticed, as did we all, that Ki was too slow, too inaccurate and too profligate with the ball, to be a trusted as a regular in midfield.

So Ki told Michael Laudrup that he wanted to play in midfield only and also that he wanted to start each week. Michael Laudrup couldn't/wouldn't promise this so Ki said he wanted to be listed. He was told that a transfer was out of the question and his strop began.

Ki continued his strop onto the training field, hardly putting in any effort and, allegedly, kicking balls away after training. Its a thing with the Swans that Michael Laudrup and the other coaches, collect all the balls after training, Ki, kicking them way, sent out a message.

After that it was decided for the good of the squad, moral etc, that Ki and his attitude go out on loan out of the way. Sunderland were the only team, prem or otherwise, which showed interest and Ki was gone within a week of his transfer request.

When he, Ki, was with us he was ineffective, slow, weak, easily pick pocketed. He was no Shelvey when passing either, he was ineffective. All he ever was, or ever will be with us, is another face on the bench, a bit player lacking the talent to be anything else.

Bye bye Ki.

Good post which makes lot of sense . we've all heard snippets of information prior to this , why would any manager cut off is nose to spite his face ,this was I believe not just the managers decision but also with full agreement of the board .We have a small squad and we can't afford any disharmony within as discontent can become a self perpetuating problem and if not curbed leads to further unrest .

I've said before I like Ki but Stumpy is right in that he was never as effective for us as he was at Celtic or now at the Mackems. This may have been down to him playing out of position more than anything else. But as Stumpy says, when all our players return from injury I only see him on the bench, as does Laudrup. Obviously the player isn't happy with that so out on loan is the only option.

Good post. <applause>

Strange that you dont poo poo stumpies post as rumour and not based on any fact and therefore not worth printing unless there is a source to qoute !!

it must just be a personal thing you have against me...<whistle>

One rule for one poster one for another :)

Many have known Ki was being big time charlie down there and fell outwith Laudrup, its a shame that the likes of KJ couldnt respect the snippets of information when i and a few others posted them months ago, instead all that was given back were personal insults and name your source or its bollocks.

<ok>

NJ: Does it bother you that much what I think of you? :) Clearly it does and whilst I'm flattered you should really get over yourself.

Unlike some of the vague stuff you post about there being "trouble in the camp" without quoting a source or being specific when pressed, Stumpy's post was specific and has been supported by a number of sources, though I'm not sure about the 'strop' bit'. As MB says it all 'fits' even if partially true/ untrue. The Club itself has said that Ki wanted game time before the World Cup so there's no secret there. Bottom line is that if Laudrup rated him ahead of what we have then he wouldn't be out on loan would he?

There was me thinking you had something to contribute after all the shenanigans but all I see is another dig.

back on Ignore I'm afraid. :)

you dont half talk here rubbish on here about Ki falling out with ML <doh> you could not be further from the truth if you tried..<laugh> There is only three reasons why we should recall Ki and that 1) He is our player,2) We have a lot of injuries and 3) he is with one of our main rivals and is playing a blinder that could come back and hurt us....what manager in the world would let that happen. Its the managers decision so why should fans not complain that again he has made the wrong decision...

I fear the burden you bear is too great, let it go and feel the love.

A manager that has his reasons for what he does dai thats what kind of manager To generalise all managers is your downfall to sensibility dai . You done have a clue what laudrup 's train of thought is on anything , but carry on entertaining everyone , it's your right cheers

If anyone should wonder why you get abuse then look at the first line of the above , you dismiss perfectly reasoned and non abusive previous posts and then cannot substantiate any of your theories ,
a/ Yes we know he's our player
b/Yes we have a lot of injuries.
c/he is playing for a club currently playing well and the player himself is making an impression.

All of the above are plain for everyone to see , but I can't read anything that you've posted to give the reason why he's not coming back to the club.
