What the **** is the point in threads like this man <doh>. Sometimes you wouldn't think that this forum was filled with adults. You'd think it was filled with kids.

We all like football, don't we? So let's grow up and enjoy football instead of starting pointless crap for no reason whatsoever.

If it keeps them happy and off other threads,

One aspect of Foucault's theories is basically how what is regarded as being right or wrong, or lawful or unlawful is dictated largely by the spoken language of that given time, and is therefore changeable. A perfect example being language directed towards, say for arguments sake, blacks or homosexuals which is now criminalised as being racist or homophobic, was twenty or so years ago far more widely accepted in everyday conversation.

I hope that helps..<ok>

Going to have to save this and mull it over, see why he fuched off now......nice one

Oh dear<doh>

Maybe we should leave this conversation until you are more mature. Maybe 10 years time?

You actually think you're being funny/clever/witty don't you?[NSFW]Simon's breath smells of felched squirrel, pass it on ...[/NSFW]

Chappaz, all day long on dozens of boards, which I look at, and mostly independant sites, but mostly only read, sometimes I post something if it can be helpful or relative to the thread , good threads have been ruined by some Kob heads, spoiled lots of peoples days, so dont say what is the point, if these people want to contribute, fine, but dozens of sites in one day, why not just slag your own off on your own site, a lot of VILLANS, and SCOUSERS well pissed off as was I. and hence the thread, got one wrong though, bollocked one of my own , and stuck my hand up, mistakes are one thing, concentrated venom and badness, another, this **** stops people from using sites, the newest being the most vulnerable. and sorry from your point of view were MAGS.

In essence the key to Foucault's work was his utilisation of the knowledge-power relationship to illustrate the diverse impact and effects on the perception of crime and the structure of punishment.

THIS IS GETTING BETTER,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Badger where the **** are you????

NO!

PS.
My point is valid this is the SUNDERLAND board yet your fellow MUGS insist in trying to disrupt it. (And failing miserably)

Your mates could have quite happily gone on their way and said nowt.
Did they do that?
No!

See I don't always agree with you. <ok>

Hey Ive been tagged, dont you just love the cowardly bastards who tag you with insults, ****in cowardly snipers, and MAGS, who else would it be.come on you hard men of BARFCASTLE UNITED, TAG ME TO DEATH, you represent your club, and should be better ambassadors for your club. recon most of you cowards never watched a real match, attended I dont doubt, something to brag about, but thats all, you dont do football, you dont do scrapping in the street, you are the new generation, do it over the net, as I said before snipers, but behind the screen you are safe, technology will move on, and you will find it harder,to snipe, because, when your name address telephone becomes available via dodgy software, how brave will you be then?........I wonder

There isn't a criminology degree that doesn't mention Foucault, I know I've written enough.

My degree that I will finish this October is in Social Science, but In the course of my studies I completed modules is Sociology and Crime and Society, both of which featured Foucault's theories.
I'm sure that with Badger specialising in criminology, he will be able to enlighten us further in this subject..:emoticon-0113-sleep

As I sit next to a Skunk is reading the thread I can only assume he is building up for the BIG reply. <ok>

Of course he could be worried about the flaws in Discipline and Punish, which was published in France in 1974, derive from the fact that its author clearly sees Guy Debord's The Society of the Spectacle, published in France in 1967, as competition, that is, as a work that must be discredited, rather than commented upon, supplemented or corrected. Given the nature of the French intellectual scene, perhaps this aspect of competition was inevitable. In any event, unlike Guy Debord, who always mentioned by name those he was criticizing or dismissing, Michel Foucault doesn't mention Debord by name in Discipline and Punish; instead, he attempts to appropriate and alter the meaning of what Debord called "the spectacle
