Posting the opposite to sensible doesn't always make you controversial ......... you tried a bit too hard there.
Why stop there? The potential was scary, could have been a mother shot dead in front of her children. A stray bullet could have killed a child. Damn right it was a lawful killing.

However, Duggan was known to carry firearms, had been arrested for firearms offences and was treated for gunshot wounds.
He visited a known gun supplier on the day of his death to collect 'a package' and a gun was found at the scene of the incident.
He wasn't unarmed at all.
Reminds me of an old story from the deep South of the USA where the local police department went after a known bad lad who they knew was armed , and they also knew that he would have no hesitation shooting policemen. He was shot down in an ambush , and after the inquest a local journalist asked the town Sheriff to explain why the man had been shot 75 times.

I have no objection of you or anyone else for that matter having a different outlook to myself, but this is just being silly...Why on earth would it be unrealistic to say that you didn't get attacked?
