i guess thats the issue with young lads and big big fees. its obviously too much too young for him and learning a new language and all sorts is his issue.

BUT... nobody tied him up to sign a contract did they? both parties are foolish? I think that anyway.


now the loan for mclaughlin. that is testing the water. he's never gone out on loan before so he's got to learn about that, barnsely are entitled to take a look before asking for him for another 3 months.

So treat it as learning for him, if he does well it'll get extended and then maybe rodgers will look at him over the summer preseason for tours and he'll step up next year.

Whenever I have watched reserves he shines more than anyone imo. Good for him to go on loan and hopefully next season a full season loan and progress onwards.

Might be worth a chance. He is young, can play out wide and upfront. Palermo were relegated though, so either not good enough or a plus that he should be cheap.
 
I've no idea.

As long as he improves the first team by being better than one of the front 3... we already have borini and aspas. don't play musical chairs on the bench cos we haven't the resources to waste. We'll see. I've no idea on him.

But we dont necercerelly actually need to improve on Coutinho, Sturridge and Suarez, plus Sterling is doing well to.

What we do need is better options to rotate them with because Aspas has been rubbish and Borini is on loan (by his own request).

If Aspas was better he'd get rotated more.

In fairness to Lamela he seems to have been bundled into Spurs by Baldini.

Now AVB is gone and he must feel part of the problem..

He was probably happy, playing well in a sunny, beautiful city, in a team going places, looking forward to an eventual move to a bigger European club... and suddenly he was at Spurs, in their current state.

Masch family was homesick and moved to spain lol.

bit wary of players like that to be honest, doubt they would sell to us anyway, but he just wants to live in the sun bless him or somewhere more civilized and warmer, like the fecking rest of us you batard!
 
Read an interesting tweet earlier regarding how the local journos such as Tony Barrett etc have been quiet this window - which would indicate that the club have stopped leaking transfer info now.
 
Also, good on McLaughlin. Will be interesting to see where he plays - winger or full back. Hopefully he will progress as a full back because he has all the right characteristics.

So Mclaughlin on loan then. Good for him and good experience for him. A lot of high hopes there.

PSG may go in for Pogba, would be a good signing that but maybe the end of Matuidi?

Michael Bradley is on the verge of coming back to the MLS, which is good for the league, but I think our best players should be playing in the best leagues. Now saying Stoke and PSV are interested so let's see how that pans out.

Oh and I just transfered RHC's daughter for a 10 note, pack of crisps, and a bacon butty. <ok>
 
Swedish starlet Valmir Berisha has confirmed he is considering two offers, one from England and one from Italy.

The Halmstads striker, who is yet to make his senior debut, is rated as one of the top young players in Europe having finished as top-scorer in last year's Under-17 World Cup.

Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool, Tottenham and Sunderland are the English clubs who have shown an interest in recent weeks - whilst Celtic, Inter Milan, Juventus, Real Madrid, Sevilla and Villarreal were also reportedly keen.

However, Berisha says his options are now down to just two clubs.

"One club is from England and one is from Italy." Berisha told Fotbollskanalen.se.

"I am negotiating with both right now, but I have not decided which of them it will be.

"I will probably do that in a week's time. I am really keen to play now and want it to be sealed soon."
 
PSG are reportedly ready to splash their oil dollars again with a move for France's current golden boy Paul Pogba. Italian agent Ernesto Bronzetti, who helped facilitate Carlo Ancelotti's move to Real Madrid, says the reigning Ligue 1 champions are prepared to bud big bucks to capture the Juventus midfielder. "Juve will do well to get 50/60 million euros," Bronzetti has said. "A deal is not very far away. Agnelli has made it clear that they can't keep Pogba." Well, well.

Would be a MASSIVE move that, I thik Pogba is quality and is exactly the player United need at the moment. ho hum!

Incredible if they do sign him - magnificent player and would have been a key player for MUFC if they retained him!

Hopefully PSG do get him, and we can swoop in for Matuidi.:)

The Metro reported that Rodgers has been given the green light to sign M'Vila ...
