It would appear both the Jackson Martinez stories are from the same source. The Metro is from the same stable as the Daily Nazi and the Independent is just quoting the nazi
Certainly seems a good choice in a superficial CM sort of way. If we do have a problem with him, of course we will never know what exactly it is.
http://www.getwestlondon.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/akpom-deal-back-after-arsenal-6480824 Could be that a signing is close. This deal was rumoured to be on hold as Akpom might be required on the bench; now, all of a sudden, it is given the all-clear.
There might be something in that. If the deal was on hold and is now back on it would suggest that Wenger has a target
Hopefully that's the case with Akpom, it does seem likely though, don't think Wenger would loan him out if we didn't have something lined up.
It's probably that Wenger was given the news that Sanogo will be back in 3 months so that's his 'new' signing
What a waste of a signing he's been so far...Yeah it was a free, but so what, he's still getting wages, and has done **** all for us other than get injured.
At the moment he gets in my most pointless Arsenal XI: Shaaban Hoyte Schillachi Cygan Santos Mendez Inamoto Bischoff Diawara Sanogo Jeffers
Seen a rumour on an arsenal blog (not Arseblog) that we're in for Loic Remy for £15 mil. Turns out he can move despite being on loan at the Geordies.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...n-new-striker-in-January-transfer-window.html "Atlètico Madridâs Diego Costa and Portoâs Jackson Martinez have been closely watched but it is understood that their release clauses are not automatically activated midseason."
http://news.arseblog.com/2014/01/re...gnews (Arseblog News - the Arsenal news site) Good news, unless you are one of the "he must sign someone now", crowd. Although hoping our own players get injured, or stay injured, is a shade dubious.
Rumour mill going around that Liverpool are in for Morata according to Marca. This would make things more interesting as if Real want to come in for Suarez in the summer, the Morata deal would make things more sweet.
Real seem to be fully awaire how good Morata could be. I highly doubt they will sell the youngster. A loan deal is more feasible though.
Morata rumours have hung around us for some two seasons now. And a lot make the link you've made... We'll see I suppose!
Good news for who? Bendtner certainly. But even YOU can't tell me you actually think Bendtner does a job for us? If you do then I can only conclude that you'd simply rate any player on the planet as long as was part of the Arsenal FC squad
I'd prefer us to get a loan or a stop-gap player in January rather than spend millions on a player who is not top of our list but available. This would mean that we couldn't sign a top striker in the summer. Having Giroud and Bendtner fit for the rest of the season would be good but I think we need some more firepower to ease the burden of fixtures that will occur when the CL is up and running again. Not sure which player fits the bill the best, Morata?, Berbatov?, Remy on loan?
Well, good news because if we DON'T get someone, for whatever reason, we have to go lower on the depth chart. Good news for Bendtner, and people who read my posts on here a lot know how I deal in probabilities. No one can say for certain what is going to happen in the future. However low you rate Bendtner, there is always that chance, small as it might be, that he will surprise you. So there is that chance it will be good news for Arsenal as well.
I have to admit that when I saw Akpom had gone to Brentford I got excited at the potential prospect of a new signing! ...then I read Bendtner was getting better (physically, not ability-wise). I'm relatively confident we'll not sign anyone until the summer now.
