I've been to Newcastle on the back of a scooter to watch the Saints, that either makes me a good supporter or a fecking lunatic?

It was a general question and I don't normally use the term plastic, but it is a word I see being used a lot on Southampton facebook pages.

I wasn't aiming it at you specifically - more the general attitude of "I went to Hartlepool on a freezing tuesday night while these ****ers haven't been to a game in years until now just to watch City, ****in' glory huntin' arseholes, can **** off the lot of 'em" that some people tend to have.

Remember both Ron & Wyn Davies were playing so it was probably about 100 years ago? The scooter was a Lambretta SX200 and we set of from the town center not really knowing where Newcastle was, I guess it was one of those crazy things you do at the age of about sixteen?
It took us 2 days to get there, we slept rough and I think we lost 3 or 4 nil, remember watching the game with eyes like piss holes in the snow. Half way back I tapped my mate on the head to let me off as by this stage my arse was like John Wayne's saddle.
    Happy days.

Bad support: a half empty stadium for a league cup semi-final.

Major adventure. At least you had one of the best all-time scooters to travel on. Mind you it was still a Lambretta so I can't believe you made all the way there and back without breaking down.

Ron, Wyn and John Toshack. Wales' front 3. I used to love watching them in the home-internationals.

We've been though this before: to be a true fan your shirt must be Flybe.com or earlier, you must have a Saints tattoo and a season ticket in the Northam.

I went to Hartlepool on a freezing Tuesday night, but have never seen us play one of the "big boys"... does that make me a good or bad supporter?
