If Prossie did gesture at Bruce, then he's maybe not the brightest button in the box. Can't imagine Bruce would think "Duh, yeah, you were right and I was wrong".
If it wasn't at Bruce, then ignore the above.
Thought his reaction was fine. Bruce should respect a player being frustrated at not being able to get in the team. If he wasn't there would be more of a problem.
Its a fairly standard gesture in sports and I have never heard of it being directed at a coach. It is always directed at the fans and is normally used to get them to cheer louder. It is fairly common at home games in hockey and the NFL.
I dont know where anyone is getting it was directed at Bruce but that idea seems pretty ridiculous.
It was done 180 degrees away from the City fans, and aiming it at the Boro fans would make no sense, it's not as if they'd given him abuse or anything. Bruce was in that general direction so I can see why people might think it was aimed at him.
No chance it was aimed at Bruce. Bigger chance it was at the Boro fans than his own coach.
Neither really makes sense to me.
Perhaps due to the accustics or something he thought that was where the chearing was coming from.
Perhaps due to the accustics or something he thought that was where the chearing was coming from. Perhaps he has watched to many American sports games. I dont know either. But as frustrated as Pro might be the idea that he would do that on the field to the coach is crazy. His agent could be complaigning publicaly or he could be demanding a transfer etc. I cant think of anyone who has ever disrespected a coach on the field in front of a crowd,,,,, Well mabey Tavez or Balotelli but they are proper assholes and Pro has always seemed pretty professional on the pitch.
I agree that he's never been a problem before as far as we know and he deserves the benefit of the doubt, but I'd love to hear an explanation what that was.
