Could it be Dr John Macadam? One of the two umpires for the first ever Aussie Rules games, secretary of the RSV which initiated the Burke & Wills expedition and after whom the macadamia nut was named.

By the way, the macadamia nut is more generally known over there as the Queensland nut. Probably in recognition of the fact that Queenslanders are hard to crack... A couple of years ago, a well-known British publication implied that Bob Dylan could be in danger of incarceration - where and why?
In Iran for singing verses of the Qu'ran. A story in the Guardian about a singer, dubbed 'The Iranian Bob Dylan'', who now lives in Vienna.
He did have a song about being locked up in prison, that had the lines, Oh, some of us'll end up, In St. Cloud prison. Not that recent though.
Again, no - it's more to do with how he sings that could cause him problems. I guess it does rather depend on how people view his style..
There was an article in the New York Times suggesting that it was time for him to retire. Seems he can no longer sing a song in the same way twice.
